Guess being safe is now out the window

Tara soon fell asleep. The slow action of her rising chest was calming my racing thoughts. I replayed the kiss in my mind over and over again. The feel of her lips, her vanilla breath that was soon becoming my favourite thing and her delicate touches. I wanted more. I wanted to wake her up just so we could do the whole thing again. The song had stopped playing ages ago. I slowly got out of bed careful not to wake her up. My feet touched the cold ground as I walked out of my room. I looked at her peaceful figure once more smiling and then closing the door.

I walked back to the kitchen. I saw Ava there eating crisps and on her phone making the smile on my face vanish and a scowl appear. I ignored her and began rummaging the cupboards. I finally found some left over ham and bread and made a sandwich. Ava interrupted me. At first I managed to ignore her but when she invaded my personal space I knew that I would have to talk to her if I wanted her to leave me alone. I turned to her face and sadness and regret were the emotions she wore. Good I thought in my head. Before she spoke I wanted to make one thing clear. "I know you have apologized to Tara and you are going to do the same thing to me but this doesn't change anything. You still are a betrayer in my eyes." I said calmly

She sighed before talking "I am sorry Aiden. I messed up big time. I admit that from the beginning I was using you and Tara. I needed as much information as I could get to give to my master. I only did this because he promised me that I would get to see my family."

"But what made you think that your family where still alive?" I questioned irritated by her naivety

"He told me that he and my family where close before the world turned in to chaos and so he saved them and that he knows where they are, I didn't realize that it was him that released the poisonous gas into our world. So of course I agreed, I didn't know he was going to... drown Tara or take you guys to different cells. I was only focused on seeing my family. He never told me that he was going to use that flower to restore the energy supply and rule the world and take advantage of it. otherwise I would have lied and said there was no flower. "She said

"Well why did he want Tara so desperately. I question

(Guess making that sandwhich is going to have to wait)

"I don't know. I guess because she was different. He had always had a thing for her from when his men would tell him about her. But then when he wasn't getting his way with her his only resort was to kill her because she was a threat."

"So you are telling me that he took an interest in her from the start like what Justin had said but then when she started to look like a threat he was going to kill her."

"Yes," she replies

A low whistle escapes my lips and I grab a chair to steady myself. Thankfully he isn't around anymore, right? 

"Well what happens now." I ask

"Well for one this place isn't safe. She makes a gesture to the whole house. We need to move on. He will most probably come back with even more men and try and finish you off for good." She says seriously

(well there goes the safe theory)

The words I want to say and trickling on my tongue but pushing them off is the hard part.

"Where will you go?" I ask, a stunned expression forms on her face. Then quickly it turns neutral as if she understands what I am saying.

"I guess ... I." she drifts off. I didn't know if she wanted me to fill in the gaps or tell her that she would be coming.

"She will be coming with us." a stern voice says I whip my head to face the door and their sands Tara in grey sweat pants and a crop and a messy bun laying on her head. I want to ask her how much of this conversation she's actually heard but knowing Tara the answer won't be direct.

Instead I get up and take her by her elbow and into the empty living room. are you kidding me, you want to bring along the girl that betrayed all of us and could potentially do it again.

She rubs her forehead and for a moment I soften my approach forgetting that she has just woken up. "You have to look at it from my perspective. She is just a little girl that was manipulated into something, this doesn't mean I completely trust her but we promised her that we wouldn't leave her either." She reminded

I huffed and for a second I wanted to forget everything, so I bring her into a tight hug and lay my head in the crook of her neck.  Soon we pull apart. "I won't let anything happen to you." She says sincerely

I nod and gently kiss her forehead before heading back into the kitchen. Ava looks worried and is staring intently at her hand. I call out her name and tell her that she can accompany us. her face lights up and it looks like she is about to hug us but when she doesn't see any of us responding in the same way she halts  and instead leaves. I turn to Tara and say "Do you want to do the honours of calling everyone for a house meeting?" I say elegantly even adding a  bow.

She laughs and pushes me playfully before strolling out the kitchen. And I can't help but look at her bum and say the same thing I said before  "She has a great bum."
