Fearing Love from the Alpha
Chapter 36
A/N I just wanted to say I am truly sorry for not updating for a month. I just had so many ideas yet so little time to actually get it typed up. And to be honest I kind of felt like no one was reading my story anymore. But with the few people who actually wanted me to update, it boosted up my self esteem, and I finally decided to sit down and get this chapter out. I won't lie and say my updates will be frequent. I have finals this month and I'm already hectic! So please to the people who are reading this author's note, stick around. I really am going to finish this book. They're really aren't that many chapters to write anymore, but I hope this chapter is peace offering to you all, my sweet little angel readers.
~Xavier
For the first time in many years I could feel my heart beat in anticipation. The adrenaline rushed through me like a wild fire. I was ready. Ready to take down the man who had hurt what was mine. Sasha. I could just growl thinking about the ways he could have harmed her.
But now was not the time to think of ways to kill James painfully. I’ve got her out of the house through the back door. Derek said to me telepathically. Alright just get her to the pack house in time. Oh and Derek how is she? There was a long pause at the other end of the telepathic line. I’d say you should rip his arms out first for breaking our Luna’s arm. I felt out a low growl.
Watching through the bushes as more rouges cam out of no where. My men where doing fine killing each and every one of them. I could only wish for Sasha to be wrapped up in my arms as I soothed her to sleep before trying to take away all her pain. I was going to kill the man for even laying a hand on her.
My wolf was ready to pounce at the man I once called my father. Alpha look out! A guard yelled out from behind me. My wolf quickly turned sharply to kill the rouge behind me. My sharp canine teeth sunk into the wolf’s throat, metallic blood. It tasted like silver and rust. I felt no sadness for the wolf that I had just killed.
The wolf’s blood pooled around my furry paws. It felt sticky under me. The smell of death surrounded me. Rouge after rouge I fought. Killing at least fifty. Blood was splashed across the once green grass. My limbs felt tired from all the fighting. I could only watch as my pack slaughtered as many rogues as possible.
The only noise to be heard was the howls of agony coming from either my pack mates or the other pack’s. I quickly made a stealthy escape. This was part of the plan. I had a strong number of wolves on my side that were out in the fight, but that was just a cover up. The real person behind all this was the one I was aiming to get at. Slowly I creped away.
By the looks of things, my warriors had the work all done. The only thing you could see on the ground was fur and blood. It was like a slaughter house. Making my way through the thick forest I sniffed out for the interrogation cage. A slight lingering smell of strawberries indicated that Sasha was near by. With the scent of strawberries was a metallic raw scent.
It was hard to explain, but I knew exactly what it was. Blood. My wolf was on edge as I ran through the woods getting closer to Sasha. A part of me wanted to run to the man who dared to hurt her and rip him from limb to limb; yet another part of me told me to go comfort my little mate. My protective instincts took place guiding me through the familiar trail.
