Sorry it sucks, it was pretty rushed
(à) Chapter 7 (ß)
Racing to the front passenger door, I yanked it open and found my arms full of warm, unconscious Wil.
I shook him hard. So hard his glasses titled and fell off his face, but so what? He just had to be alright! I didn't know what I'd do---scratch that. I knew what I'd do if someone hurt Wil, I just didn't know how much damage I'd cause.
A low moan sounded off from the backseat and I spared a brief glance that way. Karen!
Wil was unresponsive and I knew what I needed to do.
I just didn't want to.
Yanking my phone out, I pressed the red button attached to one of the names I'd never once called or texted before.
"What's wrong?," he immedciately questioned, his voice serious and full of concern.
"Sean, it's Wil. We're in the student parking lot, at my jeep. Hurry! He's not moving or speaking or-"
"Is he breathing," Sean questioned and I could hear wind as if he was running.
Please hurry I begged to an invisible force. Get Sean here quick.
I didn't know why I thought so, but for some reason I just knew that Sean could fix it. Sean could fix Wil. Please let him fix Wil!
"S-Sang," Karen croaked out, her voice hesitant and full of fear.
I gulped as the situation reared its ugly head. Did I stay here shaking Wil, or did I let him go and try to help Karen.
As mean as it seemed even to me, I stayed where I was only calling out to her "It's me, I'm here, Karen."
My eyes stung as I waited for her response and Wil to wake up.
"Sang!," I heard yelling over the phone and realized I'd never responded to him. My thoughts were racing a mile a minute: he was already in the jeep, I should just get in and take him to a hospital. Who could've done this? Who would've done this? How bad would I make them bleed when I found them? Was Wil breathing, as Dr. Green had asked? Yes, he was but why wasn't he waking up? Was it-
"He's breathing, Sean, please hurry!,"
"-I'm here. I need you to back away Pookie."
Hands grabbed for me and apart of me wanted to resist, Wil needed me. I needed him! What was wrong with him?!
"Shhhh," North's voice cooed softly into my ear. "Shhh, Doc's gonna find out what's wrong but you have to back away."
Without waiting for my ok, he lifted me and pulled me a few feet away from the jeep, Dr. Green immediately filling in my spot. The stethoscope around his neck immediately went to Wil's pulse and chest as he called out "Sang, I need you to tell me every single detail from the moment you ran out okay."
When I remained quiet, eyes glued to Wil's still closed eyes, he yelled back "Sang!"
My throat felt sore as I gulped harshly. "I c-came through the halls and out here, I was going to grab the laptop from my bag. Wil would've had our tr-trackers on and I could've found him. But when I got here, he was like that, just sitting in that seat not moving or anything!"
"Exactly like this? He was sitting up on his own?"
Dr. Green was holding Wil's eyelid open with one hand and using the other to shine a light into his eyes.
"Yes, he was sitting up. The seatbelt was on, though. A-and Karen's in the backseat," I yelled as I remembered about her.
One of the others who I hadn't even realized came with Sean went to the backseat door and yanked it open.
Karen fell out instantly; she must have been leaning against the door.
"How's she," Dr. Green called out, pinching Wil's wrist for some reason.
"She crumpled into my arms the second I opened the door. She's breathing though. A bit shaken up from what I can tell," Nathan informed Dr. Green, his voice serious but calm.
"T-th-the g-gross out c-c-continu-ues," Karen said softly before she glanced up at me and fainted.
"Fainted," Kota called out after he'd rushed out to Nathan's side and started feeling Karen's pulse. His lips moved fast as-I assume-he counted her heartbeats.
"Well, Wil's fine. He's unconscious, but, from what I can tell, perfectly fine."
Sean backed away and came closer to me, feeling my forehead. North put his hand on my shoulders and the weight seemed to ground me so I felt less freak-out-ish.
"Now for you, Pumpkin. You're a bit paler than usual, any nausea?"
I batted his hands away and took a silent deep breath, backing away from them both.
"I'm fine! I just-he wasn't responding even when I shook him and it was seriously freaking me out. Wil's my best friend and-I just worried."
"I'm glad you called. I'd like to take him into the hospital just to run a few quick tests, make sure he hasn't been given anything or injected with something. But, as I said, he seems fine."
"Ya know, I kind of pictured you in something pink, Cupcake." Luke strolled closer to me with a broad smile plastered on his face, and leaned his arm on my left shoulder. "But hey, black's...." he glanced at North "a bit of a girly color too I guess."
North took one angry step towards us and I pushed Luke away, stepping further away. "I'll bring him to the hospital for you, Dr. Green."
"Actually, I'll ride with you if you don't mind," he said from where he was now checking over Karen. "We'll take them in together."
"Can I ride with you Trouble," Gabriel called out from where he was leaning up on Tony's hood.
I almost growled. Now that my heart was slowing back to normal and I was sure Wil would be alright-at least as sure as I could be right now-I was angry with myself for panicking so easily in the first place. And now they were all here again!
Even Victor, who stood as far away from me as he could be with his fire eyes dimmed so far I'd think he'd turned a hose on them, and Mr. Blackbourne who stood apart watching everything happen like some all-seeing being. Silas who stood behind North, looking as observant as a hawk. But not saying anything.
I didn't want them in my life again. It hurt too much liking an-well, these-Academy Guys.
But still, I was a sucker for those blue crystals and that sexy half smirk so I nodded. "Sure. But I'm dropping you at the hospital."
"Shotgun!," Luke called out and we all gave him "are you kidding me" looks.
"It's kind of full of Wil right now."
I held back a giggle as Luke pouted and aimed a small glare at Wil. Anyone else would've gotten punched, but I knew Luke knew how much I loved Wil. And he'd respect that affection.
5 minutes later, we were driving to the hospital in a parade with me leading-complete with Karen, Luke and Gabriel in the backseat and Wil in the front passenger seat, Victor's BMW behind me, North's jeep with him and Silas inside right behind Victor, and Mr. Blackbourne with Kota inside of his BMW at the very end.
I mentally shook my head and smiled as Luke reached forward, turning on the radio and Jingle Bells started playing.
The smile disappeared when I realized we were going to the same hospital where my father was. Which means, if Marisa hadn't taken him home by now, she'd be there too.
Dangit, the Academy Guys might have to meet my 'family.'
I'm sorry I forgot; hope this makes up for it
