Sang's POV

When I awoke, I had a splitting headache.

And there were a lot of voices clamoring.

1 + 1 = "Ugh, can everyone please shut up." The voices died down and, keeping my eyes closed to avoid the light, I felt the air shift meaning someone was coming closer.

"Come any closer and I will get up and knock your lights out," I said. Taking a whiff, I realized the scent was familiar; moss and berry. I immediately wanted to apologize for threatening him—I'd never hit him anyway—but my head was aching enough that I could ignore my urges for now.

"Princess, I just want to check you. We didn't expect you to be out so long."

First thought that came to mind was "Who is we?" but I answered that for myself with "the academy guys" of course.

Sitting up, I groaned and dragged my eyelids open. "What did you do to me?"
I couldn't stop the pout that escaped along with the words. Rubbing at my eyes, I ignored how my voice sounded like a child's. They shouldn't have put me to sle—

"NOOOOOOOORTH!"

"Princess, wait—" Victor held his hands up palm out towards me as I hopped up from the...was that a table? North knocked me out and then laid me on a table like a Christmas ham?!

My fists clenched involuntarily. I knew I'd never hurt him either but I couldn't be sure I wouldn't flip him again.

And oh my God it just hit me. North totally vulcaned me back!

My lips twitched as I realized what his little smile was about; I couldn't be mad at him for doing something I did to him but I couldn't let him off the hook for that either.

My eyes trailed through the familiar, unfamiliar, and newly familiar faces—including Mr. Kade. He sent me a wink and his cheek dimpled as he did.

Landing on North, my eyes narrowed as if locking him in place. He crossed his massive arms over his equally massive chest and stood his ground like a soldier as I stomped towards him.

"Before you say anything, Trouble, just remember—"

I looked to the left and sent a searing glance at Gabriel and then Luke who stood to his right, knowing that he would say something next.

Luke and Gabriel made hand motions as if zipping their lips closed before bursting into guffaws.

I stared back at North refusing to give in to the hilarity of the situation so soon.

"You can glare all you want Sang Baby, but I oughta spank your little ass for doing it to me. I just got a little payback."

I got closer to him until I was sure we'd flunk the Prom-Paper test. Not that anyone at AW ever actually did that test, but I'd heard of it. Whatever.

"If you wanted to touch me, all you had to do was--," North began only to be cut off by me reaching out, grabbing his arm, and sinking my teeth into the flesh of his bicep.

A hiss left him accompanied by his entire body tensing and seeming to leap towards me. He threw his head back mumbling "Fuck" and I grinned up at him, winking.

When he looked back at me, his eyes had darkened to such a dark blue that they were black. His cheeks had a tint to them but, somehow, I knew he wasn't blushing or frustrated with anger.
