Based off a true story. This was how my day went yesterday night. Except the ending.
Rainbow smiled. She was so excited. They were going to the movie theaters!!
She and Applejack walked into the dark theater. They heard the commercials playing. Spanish music was playing. Rainbow immediately stopped. She began dancing. Applejack laughed. The younger of the two didn't care about her girlfriend laughing as she put her hands in the air, her hips swaying and feet moving.
But then the music stopped.
"Aww that was my jam", Rainbow said pouting.
The two continued on into the movie theater. Rainbow looked around and smiled.
They were the only ones there. Rainbow looked up at the stairs. She climbed the giant steps. Sometimes each step took two, some took just one big step. Rainbow looked at the red lights that lit up the path way. The lights always fascinated her.
The two sat down in the top row. Rainbow immediately sat down and kicked her feet up. Then she couldn't see so she put them on the next chair over to the right. Rainbow leaned back but didn't like the arm rests digging into her back.
She sniffled and sighed.
"Stupid allergies".
Rainbow had been miserable with a stuffy nose all day. She sniffled and groaned throughout the day.
"You okay babe??", Applejack asked, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. Rainbow looked at her and smiled.
"Yeah. Just a stuffy nose is all. I'm good", Rainbow said.
Applejack nodded. Rainbow sighed. She turned and swung her legs over the other chair next to her. That felt a bit better. She squirmed in her seat until she was comfortable.
She slipped on her 3D glasses and leaned on Applejack. The previews went by in a blur. Then the lights went off and the movie started.
"Ah guess we have the whole movie theater to ourselves", Applejack said.
Rainbow smiled. "Yessss!!".
Then some stranger walked in. Rainbow sighed.
"Aww man".
Applejack kicked her feet up. The girls watched the movie. At some point Rainbow looked at her phone that was on her lap. She haf been texting one of her friends before the movie started.
She looked up at the movie. Nothing exciting. She could multitask. There wad noone else around to care anyways. Taking her phone out she began to text Spike.
So through the movie, Rainbow looked between the movie screen and her phone screen. She sniffled and coughed a few times.
Rainbow sighed. This movie was getting nowhere. She was tired and bored and wanted to leave. She suddenly felt a nudge on her arm. Turning she saw Applejack lookimg at her giggling
"Are you gunna watch the movie??", she whispered.
Rainbow shrugged. "I'm watching. I'm multitasking".
Applejack nodded and looked back at the screen. Rainbow did the same. Okay, so the guy was trapped in the snow because his legs were frozen. Big whoop.
But still Rainbow thought that he didn't really care about living of he wasn't even trying to move. Even if he couldn't, he had to try.
Rainbow Dash continued to text through the movie. She began nodding off around the ending bit forced herself awake. She had never fallen asleep during a movie and she wasn't about to start now.
Rainbow groaned.
"This is so boring".
Applejack chuckled. "Well sorry".
The movie finally got to the main part of the story that Rainbow had been waiting to see. People freezing to death.
I hope that guy just dies already
Rainbow shifted in her seat. Her phone glowed in the dark room.
After about another half hour, Rainbow could barely keep her eyes open. She had almost nodded off into dreamland when Applejack nudged her a few times.
Rainbow sat up and then sulked again. She sighed quietly.
She did not want to be there. She regretted ever coming to that movie. Finally she saw the end credits come after Celestia knows how long after. Rainbow sat up and sniffled.
She rubbed her tired eyes. She and Applejack got up and walked down the stairs. Rainbow kept her eyes on the floor. One step at a time.
The girls walked out of the theater. Rainbow sighed.
"That was boring".
Applejack smirked at her.
"What's wrong babe??. You cranky??".
Rainbow nodded. "I have allergies".
"Well when we get home. You can take some medicine fir that".
Rainbow nodded. The girls left the movies and walked to the car. They got in. Rainbow lazily put on her seatbelt.
Applejack looked at her as she started the car.
"Someone's in a bad mood", she said.
Rainbow looked at her.
"Aj. I have allergies, I'm hungry and I'm on my period. Leave me be".
Applejack laughed.
"Okay. Okay. Don't gotta chew mah head off".
Rainbow sighed as she put her earphones in. She listened to music the whole way home. When they pulled into the driveway, Rainbow was ready to drop dead. Applejack helped her out of the car.
"Let's get cha some medicine fir yir allergies".
Rainbow suddenly sneezed. She let out a nasully groan. The two went inside and went into the kitchen. Applejack gave the teen a pill.
She swallowed it with water and sighed.
"I'm going upstairs".
Applejack nodded. "Yeah. Me too".
They turned off all the lights and went upstairs to their room. The girls changed their clothes. Rainbow changed into some sweats and a school sweater. She always wore her school sweaters to sleep when she didn't feel good.
Laying down Rainbow relaxed. She felt at piece. She sniffled and wiped her running nose on her sleeve. Applejack looked at her. She put as hand to her forehead.
"Ya might have a fever. You're warm".
Rainbow Dash just shrugged.
"Okay".
Applejack reached out and took ed her cheek. Rainbow sniffled.
"If ya don't get better by tomorrow then that means you have a cold".
Rainbow nodded and snuggled into her blanket. Applejack wrapped an arm around her waist.
"Love you".
"Love you too".
Rainbow looked at the time. It was early but she was tired. She needed sleep. Closing her eyes, she fell asleep. Finally. Sleep.
