Applejack crept open the door. She carefully slipped into the room, careful not to make much noise. She looked over at bed. She saw a sight that brought a smile to her face.
Rainbow was laid on the bed, the blanket half off, Rainbow in a weird position, snoring lightly.
Applejack flicked the light on and then quietly walked up to the bed, sitting down beside Rainbow Dash. The blonde woman looked down at her girlfriend.
She reached out and shook her gently.
"Rainbow", she said. "Babe, wake up".
Rainbow shifted, groaning.
"Hmm??".
Applejack held in her laughter.
"C'mon, RD. Get up".
Rainbow sighed and rubbed her tired eyes. She opened her tired eyes, blinking as she adjusted to the light.
She sighed. "I'm up".
She looked at Applejack and smiled.
"I must've died and gone to heaven, because I see an angel".
Applejack chuckled. "Thank you, baby. Then ah must've died and gone ta hell because ah see a demon".
Rainbow groaned and rolled over.
"You're mean", she whined.
Applejack laughed out loud. She crawled over to Rainbow and shook her.
"Cmon, baby. Get out of bed. Ah have a great day planned fir today".
Rainbow looked at her, a raised eyebrow. She looked totally confused.
Applejack crossed her arms, giving her a look. Rainbow thought about it for a moment.
Then a smile spread across her face.
"Oh yeah!!. It's Christmas!!".
Rainbow sat up. "Merry Christmas".
Rainbow sat up.
"Ready fir a great day??", Applejack asked.
Rainbow nodded. Applejack patted her arm gently.
"Well then. We're goin' over ta Twi's house fir lunch around noon get dressed and we can eat breakfast and get some tv time b'fore then".
Rainbow rolled out of bed. She stood up and stretched.
"Right away, Captain", she said.
Applejack sat there, looking at her.
"Go on. Ah'm ready and wait'n on yir lazy butt".
Rainbow sighed dramatically. "But you wake up early. I can't".
Applejack pointed at the door. "Go".
"Yes, love of my life", Rainbow said walking out of the door.
Applejack felt butterflies in her stomach, just thinking about the day they were going to have.
"Ah hope things go as planned", she said. "Celestia knows that things sometimes go crazy when we least expect it. Ah just hope it won't today".

Rainbow rubbed her stomach.
"That was the BEST french toast I've ever had", she declared.
Applejack looked away from the dish in her hand and smiled at her.
"Thanks, babe. Ah made it with all mah love".
Rainbow rolled her eyes.
"Yeah right. You're just a great cook. I had nothing to do with it".
