Applejack boredly stared at the tv, barely even paying attention to the program that was playing. She kept glancing at the clock that was about a few feet to the right of it. She bounced her left knee rapidly.
"C'mon, Rainbow." She muttered. "What's takin' ya so long??"
Her girlfriend, Rainbow Dash, had gone to the dog food store a few blocks down to pick up some stuff for their dog, Tank. Applejack had wanted to go with her, but Rainbow refused to let her. She told AJ that she wanted to do it by herself for once, since Applejack was always the one to go to the store. AJ gave up and gave her the money she needed and the house key.
Rainbow said she wouldn't be gone for long. That was almost three hours ago.
Applejack looked back at the tv then the clock. It hit three pm. It was now three hours since Rainbow left.
That was it. Applejack shot up to her feet. She took out her phone and unlocked her phone. She punched in Rainbow's contact and pressed call.
Applejack pressed the phone to her ear, her free hand on her hip, her feet tapping as she waiting. The phone rang and rang.
The it was picked up.
"Hello, Applejack." A deep, scruffy male voice answered, making AJ freeze.
"Who's this??." She asked, almost afraid of the answer
The man chuckled darkly. "With me and a partner of mine. Don't worry. We haven't hurt her. Yet."
Applejack swallowed. "What do you want from me??." Her voice was thick and grave.
She tried her best to hide the fear in her voice. Her Rainbow was in danger.
"I want 10,000 dollars by Friday."
Friday. That was five days away.
"And then you'll return Rainbow?? Safely n' in one piece??."
"Yes. I promise she won't be harmed if you give me the money. But until then, Rainbow stays with me."
It went silent for a moment.
"She's a tough one. Threatened to tear my partner's throat out. She would if she could. I know she isn't lying. How do you control such a wild thing??."
Applejack's jaw clenched.
"Look, ya shitbag. You better not hurt her. Ah'll give ya yir money. Just don't harm her in any way and that means keep yir hormones in check."
"I'm not an animal, Miss Smith. Ah have no intension on doing such a horrid crime. I'm not a monster."
"And yet, you kidnapped a girl fir ransom." Applejack sassed.
He chuckled. "Got me there. Would you like to speak with her??."
Applejack jumped at the chance to hear Rainbow's voice.
"Yes!." She said immediately.
"Alright."
