Applejack looked at her teammates. They were on their way to a car crash. They were EMT's and they had just gotten a call about a car accident and were on their way.
They arrived at the scene. Applejack hopped out of the ambulance. She and her team hurried to the car. The front was totalled. Applejack walked over to a window and looked in. She saw movement in the vehicle.
Taking a step back she looked at the front door. A window on the passenger side was shattered. Applejack suddenly heard crying.
"Hey guys", Soarin called. Applejack walked over to him. She looked into the broken window.
There was an unconscious man in the driver seat. A woman, who was also unconscious, sat in the passenger seat. A girl was on her lap, clinging to the woman. Applejack was taken by surprise.
The girl looked like she was a little younger than her. She had rainbow colored hair and blue skin. She was clinging to the woman, crying. That was probably her mom.
"Moommy. P-Please don't leave me. You promised you wouldn't leave me alone with him. Please wake up".
Applejack felt her heart break. Soarin was reaching foward to take the girl. Applejack stopped him.
"No", she hissed. Soarin looked at her.
"She just lost her mother", Applejack said. "Don't take her away from her. Let er have uh moment. Get the man".
Soarin and another EMT hurried over to the other side. Applejack watched the girl sob and sob.
"He's alive", she heard Soarin call. The girl cried even harder.
"Mom. He's alive", the girl sobbed "Please don't leave me alone with him. H-he'll kill me too, please. I need you. Please mommy. He's gunna hurt me".
Applejack's eyebrows furrowed together in confusion. Hurt her??. Her eyes lifted up to watch as her teammates took the man out of the car and rushed him to an ambulance.
Applejack knew she had to get the girl although she hated having to separate her from her mother after losing her but she had to.
Opening the door Applejack looked at the girl. Magenta colored looked up at her. The girl sniffled.
"He killed her", she sobbed. "He killed my mom!!".
Applejack reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder. She gently brought the girl close to her and wrapped her arms around her. The teen cried into her shirt. Applejack rubbed her back comfortingly.
After a bit the girl looked up at her. Applejack felt her tongue go numb. The girl had beautiful magenta eyes. Big and bright.
Applejack's brain started working again. She remembered she had a job to do.
"Uh miss. Ah've gotta get chu to the ambulance".
The girl nodded. She turned back around and looked at her dead mother. The teen sniffled and hugged her one last time.
"Goodbye mommy. I love you".
The girl looked up at Applejack.
"Please don't let him hurt me. I can't go home go with my dad. I can't. He did this. He killed her".
Applejack scooped her up and walked to the ambulance. She looked at the girl in her arms who was looking back at the crash and her mother for a last look.
Applejack's mind was filled with questions.
What did this girl mean by that??. Did her father cause the accident??. Was the accident an accident??. Applejack sat beside the girl, who was laid on a bed. Soarin was on the other side. The girl was sniffling every now and then.
Applejack looked at the girl.
