Rainbow squealed. She looked around excitedly. People walked around smiling and laughing. Kids laughed as they played games and ate cotton candy. Popcorn, pretzels, corn dogs, funnel cakes, and hot dogs could be smelled from every direction.
Rainbow smiled. She turned her head.
"This is awesome. I love the carnival!!".
Applejack smiled. "Me too. What do ya wanna do first??".
Rainbow brought a hand up to her chin, thinking. Her face lit up.
"Let's go play a game!!", Rainbow exclaimed.
Applejack smiled as Rainbow pulled her along. The teen was smiling widely as they walked along, looking at all the booths and food places.
Suddenly she spotted a ring toss.
Rainbow pulled Applejack up to it. There was a man. He smiled at the teens.
"Hi", he said.
Rainbow waved excitedly.
"Hi".
Applejack smiled.
"You wanna play??", the man asked.
Rainbow nodded. She played the ring toss but didn't win. Rainbow wasn't discouraged and smiled.
"But mister!!", she called, pulling Applejack away.
Rainbow and Applejack went up to a water gun game. A short skinny man stood at the booth. The man smiled at them.
"Hi. You ladies wanna play??".
Rainbow nodded excitedly. She tu does her head and looked at Applejack. Applejack saw her face and backed up, shaking her head.
"Oh no. Ah'm not playin".
Rainbow pouted. "Please??".
Rainbow took Applejack's hands and got really close. She stood there, giving her puppy dog eyes.
"Please??. This is a date and-".
Rainbow's eyes clouded with tears, her bottom lip quivering. Applejack's eyes widened.
"No. Don't cry babe", she said. "Fine. Ah'll play".
Rainbow smiled widely, her tears gone in a second.
"You will??", she said bouncing.
Applejack sighed, smiling.
"Yes. Ah will. Just don't cry".
Rainbow nodded. She yanked Applejack over to the booth. Applejack suddenly realized something.
"Wait a minute...".
Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash. She gasped.
"You tricked me!!", Applejack exclaimed.
Rainbow gave her an innocent look.
"Who?? Me??. I don't recall such a thing".
Rainbow looked back at the booth man. The girls gave him two tickets. They each grabbed hold of a water gun. They looked up at the targets.
"Hey", Rainbow suddenly said to the man. "Look at that", she said pointing behind the man.
The man turned around. He saw nothing there. Turning back around his eyes widened. A smiling Rainbow stood there. Next to her was a soaked Applejack that did not look happy.
"Uhhh. Should I ask??", he said.
Applejack sighed. "It's best not to", she said. "Just start the game b'fore she drowns me next time 'round".
