It had taken us twenty minutes to deliver Satella's baby boy.

Paninya passed out. Winry was gasping for breath and I stood calmly in the doorway. I sighed.

"Guys, man up. It's blood. We all have it." I told them slipping off the apron. Paninya groaned and Winry yelled at me.

"Inside us Anna!"

"I know that I'm not stupid Winry."

"Then don't say something stupid!" She yelled again.

"You shouldn't yell. There is a baby in the next room over." I pulled the gloves off and pulled my hair out of its ponytail.

"Awwwww!" Oh no. Al ran in the room with Jay. "Look what I found!"

"We don't have a dog." Ridel said from the doorway. I walked over and took Jay in my arms.

"He's mine." I said plainly.

"We are not keeping a dog." Ed stated crossing his arms.

"You might not be but I am." I said turning to face the wall and glared at Jay. "I told you to stay hidden!" I said quietly.

"I was hidden! The armour man found me!" He squealed.

"Are you talking to the dog?" Ed asked with a weirded out look on his face. I turned with Jay in my arms; his body hung from under my grip on him.

"Yes. All people with pets talk to them." I explained setting Jay on the floor to run around my legs squealing.

"I do t have to hide anymore!" He squealed. Ed growled.

"Shut the mutt up before I do." Ed threatened. My eyes grew dark.

"Touch my dog you're gonna be in for a world of pain." I shot right back. Ed lowered his glare and backed away with a sheepish smile.

"He's so cute~!" Al cooed. "Not as cute as cats but still cute!"

"I don't like cats. Every cat I've met had tried to ear me." I explained with my arms crossed.

"Cats don't eat people." Al stated.

"Well obviously I'm special now aren't I?" I asked. Jay kept barking away.

"I like you and your friends Anna! They're really nice to me! Except the blond boy! He scares me!" He squealed running under a small table before hopping out again and running around the small room again.

"Jay, quiet and sit." I ordered. Jay groaned and sat at my feet looking at Al with the puppy dog eyes.

"Were not keeping him." Ed said firmly looking out the window.

"Again. You may not be keeping Jay, but I am. I'm keeping him weather you want me too or not." I told him picking Jay up. I've never had a pet before but, I knew what to do with one. They needed food, water, walks. I could do that if I could keep myself alive my whole life.

It would be a cake walk. After the storm, Dominic came back with the doctor and asked who delivered the baby. They were about to say me but I pointed to Winry. I winked a Winry and she went along with it while I gave the look of "keep your traps shut" to the now awake Paninya, Ed and Al.

And they agreed with me. We then proposed that Dominic take her ad an apprentice for it but he still said no. Then they started taking about Granny Pinako Rockbell and the guy got scared shitless. It was actually pretty amusing!

Winry then offered to take Jay when Dominic directed her to another great automail mechanic that loved animals. Me and Jay said our goodbyes and the three of us went to the next train for Dublith.

This time, I sat with them. I sat with my back against the window again and my feet up on the seat so I could use my legs as a stand for my book.

The trip to Dublith was quiet. Ed slept most of the time, Al starred out the window in thought and I read my book. Simple as that. A while later, when we were closer to Dublith and Ed was still asleep, Al spoke up.

"Hey Anna?" He asked. I looked up from tmy book that I was now like, halfway through.

"What's up?" I asked confused. Al took a deep breath.

"Me and Brother talked it over last night when you were helping deliver Satella's baby and we wanted to tell you." He explained.

"Tell me what?" I asked. I already knew. He was going to tell me he was hollow. About how he and Ed preformed the transmutation on their mother.

"We wanted to tell you... that.... um..." He poked his metal index fingers together.

"Um what?" I asked trying to get it out of him.

"That... maybe... um..."

"Can you please say it? It's not that hard. I won't be offended." I promises him. He nodded.

"Maybe... you could travel with us from now on."

Oh wow. I was wrong. He didn't want to tell me about his mother. Just... wow.

"Do I even have a choice Alphonse?" I asked with a small smile as I swung my legs over the side of the seat. "That Mustang guy would probably force me either way."

"So... you don't want to travel with us?"

"I didn't say that."

"Then you do want to travel with us?"

"Didn't say that either."

"Then what do you want to do?" I looked up at him and leaned back with my arms crossed over my chest.

"I want to travel with you guys but at the same time, I want to be able to do my own thing. You know?" I asked. Al nodded with a slight gasp. Man, he gasps a LOT. "I mean, you guys want to be my friends. Even though I've been such a jerk to you. I guess I just pushed people away like they did to me."

"It's okay Brianna. We understand."

"Okay. I'll let that one Brianna slip. Just because you're being so nice to me." I said with a small smile. He chuckled. Maybe I could open up to them. I pulled the hood off my head and pulled my hair out from under the sweater. My bangs fell slightly over my poison green eyes and Al gasped again.

Dude, you need to stop gasping at everything.

"You took off your hood?" He asked.

"It's the first sign that I'm opening up." I explained.

**Time Skip**

We had just arrived in Dublith and we're walking to Izumi and Sig's meat shop when Mason came up with some meat over his shoulder.

He and Ed started talking and I tuned them out until Ed waved his hand in front of my face.

"What's up?" I asked looking over.

"I said," Mason started. "Who are you?"

"Brianna Brown. Call me Anna or your head will be on a stick." I said calmly.

"You kinda seem like Izumi. You boys here to see her?" Ed sighed.

"Yeah."

"Come on. I'm going there anyways." He said. We followed Mason to the meat shop where he talked to Sig. Sig went to get Izumi and when the door opened,a foot slammed into Ed's face.

the only thing I could think?

Oh! Shit, just got real.

Then she looked at me. My next reaction?

Oh shit I'm dead!
