Chapter 26: Can't control it

I felt like my heart was gone. I felt dark. I wanted to kill again. I snapped my eyes open and lifted my arm. I grinned evilly. I wasn't doing this! I mean I was doing it but I wasn't at the same time! It was like I couldn't control my own body!

"Dark. Nice for you to join us in the land of the forever living." Father said leaning over me. I sat up. No. I couldn't control my body.

"Yes Father." I said standing up.

"That's my little girl." He said. "Lust! Come meet your sister!" He called. Lust came out from the shadows and used her finger knives to try and stab me. I dodge out of the way with only a scratch. A red light shone from the small wound and it was healed.

"Hello sister." She said with a smile. "It's nice to have another female Homoculous around here. Being surrounded by boys isn't fun." She told me.

"Of course." I said automatically. Lust smiled. Father placed a hand on my shoulder and I looked up at him with a blank expression.

"Envy and you will train her." He said.

"I want to kill. Not train." I told him. My eyes were fierce. Father grinned.

"Then your first mission, is to kill Envy once." He told me. I nodded.

"My pleasure Father." I cracked my knuckles. Envy smirked then started laughing.

"How the hell is it possible for Dark to kill me!?" He laughed. I clapped my hands and touched the ground. A fist wrapped itself around Envy; holding him in place. I clapped my hands again and created a spear.

"Catching him wasn't hard." I muttered to myself.

"What the hell! I forgot she could do that! That's not fair!" He screamed squirming in the rock tight grip. Literally.

"There is no such thing as a fair fight Envy. One side just has a larger advantage then the other. It makes winning so much easier. I threw the spear at his head and it lodged itself into his neck. He sputtered and I went and yanked the weapon out of him. He glowed and snapped his head to glare at me.

"You rotten little bitch!" He yelled. Father laughed happily. I turned to him.

"Can I kill a human now Father?" I asked. He shook his head and sat in his chair with the weird tube thingies running from it.

"No. You may however go with Lust and Gluttony to watch the Elric brothers." He told me. I nodded.

"If you do not mind me asking Father, how long was I out?"

"About five days my daughter." I nodded again and clapped my hands, dismantling the hand that held Envy captive. I also returned the spear into the earth. Envy charged at me but Father glared at him.

He growled and crossed his arms.

"You three will go now." Father ordered.

"Of course." Lust said turning around. "Gluttony, Dark, let's go."

"Yes sister." I said following her. We were under Central. The entrance was a little outside the city. We ran to Central and hopped across the rooftops until we reached the Hughes' house. I peered through the window and caught a glimpse of Ed.

I moved away and held a hand to my mouth.

"Are you alright Dark?" Lust asked. I nodded and lowered my hand.

"Seeing him gave me an unsettling feeling." I explained. Now I understand why the feeling of having to kill left me when Ed got all mushy. He's my opposite. If I'm Dark, then he must be the light to return me over to him.

His love for me. That makes me turn back to the light.  

"Better get over it soon. We need to be silent while we watch Fullmetal brat and his brother." Lust told me. I nodded.

"Can I eat him Lust?" Gluttony asked sticking a finger in his mouth.

"No you may not." She told her chubby partner while placing a hand on his head.

"Don't worry Gluttony. We'll let you eat someone soon." I told him with a smirk.

"Really?" He asked Lust. She nodded.

"Of course. I always do don't I?" She asked him smiling. He smiled. Ew... he smiled really creepy...

"Ed, it's not your fault." Hughes...

"But it is! I let the palm tree take her! She ate a stone! Envy promised her he wouldn't kill me if she ate it! It's all my fault." Ed said sadly. The two entered the room. Ed had bandages wrapped around his head. 

"Ed, you were hurt. The palm tree as you call him, took her in a flash right? Like he had super speed?" Ed nodded. "Then that means you wouldn't have had a chance to get her if you didn't get hurt. We will find her Ed." Hughes promised placing a hand on his shoulder.

My heart softened. He had tears welling in his eyes. He never cried. 

"Dark, why are you looking at him with sympathy?" Lust asked. 

"I'm not looking at him with sympathy. Or pity for that matter. I'm curious."  I explained quickly. Lust sighed and placed a hand softly on my shoulder.

"Do you love him Dark?" She asked. 

"I don't know what love is. How can I love it I don't know what it is?" I shot back. Lust smiled.

"Good. He's a valuable sacrifice. Then we can all become human." She explained.

"But I was already human before I got the stone. Why turn me into a homoculous when I was already human?"

"You're only half a homoculous sweetheart." Acid dripped in her voice. Creepy...

"How the hell can I be half?" I asked. Lust shook her head.

"I haven't the slightest clue Dark. But that boy loves Anna. Your old self. Now, you are Dark. You can't let his feelings for the old you get in the way of the plan."

"I won't. I promise sister." I told her looking up. She smiled again and removed her hand from my shoulder.

"Good. Let's get back a bit. They might hear us." Gluttony pouted once more before turning to follow Lust. I stayed for a minute and watch Edward cry a little longer. He was wiping them away and looked to the window. His eyes widened and I turned to run.

"What is it Ed?" I heard Hughes ask.

"I- I thought I saw-" he cut himself off. "Nevermind." 

The darkness was spreading to my heart and soul. I didn't want to leave. But I did. And I left because of the stupid stone.
