Five days. I've been in the damn hospital for five. Days. I've gone insane. Ed had told me there was a bag near me, but he left it. I told him to go it. When he asked me why, I told him I had personal belongings in it that I couldn't loose. That included my phone my Manga of FMA. Couldn't let that fall into the wrong hands.

I also, told him I would rip his head off and perch it on a stick if he looked in it. Not my best threat but, I didn't want to be thrown in jail for threatening a state alchemist. I would be in some serious shit if that happened.

I don't feel like that happening.

When I got my bag back, Ed smiled sheepishly. I asked him if he looked in it and he shook his head.

"No!" He said. "I promise you I didn't look in the bag!"

I gave him a look and sent him out. He sighed in relief and left me alone after shutting the door. Other than that, Mustang decided he was going to try to pry answers out of me. I won. He lost. Miserably.

"Tell me and I won't roast you." He said.

"If you want answers you can't roast me." I shot back.

That shut him right up. He deadpanned and starred at me.

Now? Now I was grinning like a mad man that I was able to leave.  They gave me a change of clothes. Not really my style, but it would have too do.

**Time Skip**

I take back everything I said about it not really being my style. It was pink. I hate pink. It's the worst color in the world. I told them this and they changed it to a black shirt. Better. I wanted my sweater back though.

They told me no and I nearly killed someone. Oops...

Most people know not to piss me off! I forgot I was in another world! Sue me! Yeah... Mustang had to hold me back from ripping off a head. But I got my sweater! It was just plain black but I bought it from Aeropostal. It cost me fifty bucks!

"You can't just try to kill people!" Mustang told me.

"You did it." I retorted crossing my arms. That made him gasp then get really, really, really pissed off.

"I did it too save the country! You were trying to because of a sweater!"

"It cost me a lot of money!" Yeah. That argument took like an hour to resolve. That brings us too now. Ed and Al were standing by Mustangs desk and I was sitting on a small couch with my feet against the table reading a random book I was given. Alchemy. Greaaaaat.

I was good at science because I had a photographic memory, not because of intellectual reasons.

I know the elements and all that but, this was insane! I know about equivalent exchange but, there are different circles for different types of alchemy. I thought everyone made their own circles!

"Anna!" I heard Mustang yell. Oh yeah. That's my new name. I looked up at him. He was looking like he was about to blow a gasket.

"What the hell do you want?" I asked looking back at the book.

"I said, until we figure out who your parents are, you'll be traveling with the brothers!" I snapped my head back up to look at him. This was a dream come true!

"Pass." I said plainly looking back at my book.

"You can't 'pass' Anna. It doesn't work that way." Mustang growled. I smirked slightly and closed my eyes.

"It may not work that way for you, but that's how it works for me."

"Then you'll be put in a holding cell until further notice." I smirked a bit bigger.

"I've been in a holding cell before. I was framed for an armed robbery. They found out a week later I was innocent." I told him.

"That's it!" He yelled standing up and slamming his hands on his desk. "You are a child! You listen to adults!"

"I'm no child Mustang." I flipped the page. "You wanted to know why I don't want you to contact my parents right?" I asked him.

"Yes!" He yelled. I played with the corner of the page.

"My parents don't love me. They beat me. My father was an alcoholic and my mother just simply hated me. I'm used to rejection. I'm used to yelling. I'm used to being hated. I had no friends and that was how I liked it. I did everything for myself. I had a job when I was eight. You think I'm a child? You're dead wrong." I said this with a small smile.

Ed and Al were just as shocked as Mustang was. Mustangs face went shocked and he sat back down. Ed and Al just starred at me.

"How can you smile at something as awful as that?" Al asked sadly.

"Because I'm making a new start. If I dwell on the past, then I will forever be in the past. Start a new story, on a new page." I explained. Ed growled.

"How can someone beat their own kid!?" He nearly shouted.

"Again, it's in the past. I don't  know where parents are." The only thing I'm lying about it me not knowing where they are.

"Did you ever try to stop them?" Al asked.

"Once. They broke my leg." I flipped the page again. Al gasped. "And don't think this means I'll go with them Mustang." I told him.

"You will go with them to meet with their teacher." Mustang said firmly. I sighed and looked up.

"Look, you know nothing about me. Only the questions that I actually answered Mustang. And all I know is you're all state alchemists. I'm not going with them." I looked back down at the book where it was than snatched out of my hands. "Hey!" Ed...

"You're coming with us weather you want to or not!" He growled.

"I swear, if you're pitying me, you're gonna be in pain." I growled. He pulled my hood down off my head. "Would you stop it!" I yelled pulling my hood back up.

"Are you Goth or something!?" He yelled back.

"No! I'm not actually! I dress the way I want to dress! If you got a problem with it, go take it up God!"

"Why are you so against coming with us!?"

"Because I don't want to get close to anyone!" I screamed. He gasped slightly. I growled and stomped out of the room and ran down the hallway.

I was going to hell.
