I look through the files of the complaints that are stacked on my desk. I am finally able to go back to work without any restrictions, which is great to get out of the house.
Ever since I went out with the girls and came home in my drunk stupor we all decided to not talk about it, to brush it under the rug and continue with life. I am feeling much better since that night, maybe I just needed alcohol.
But, I don't feel too depressed. Some days I would think about it and I would feel really down like Today, I had my co-workers wife and she was sporting a big round belly making me instantly think of my kids I would have had.
But, I am not beating myself up about it. I actually feel refreshed and ready to tackle anything that comes in our way. You can just feel the different aurora when you walk into our apartment, I just feel like everything is lifted off of my shoulders since Tobias and I finished grieving over our children and I finally know where my parents and I stand. I don't have to worry about them no more, not even Caleb.
Finally it is my time to clock out and leave, which is a relief because tonight the gang and I are going out to the bar to just hang out maybe make a fool of ourselves and do a bit of karaoke.
I clock out and grab my things walking out to go to my car and drive myself home, I get out of the car and get into the elevator riding up to the sixth floor and I get out going to my apartment.
"Hey babe!" I announce when I walk into the house and I see Tobias sitting on the couch with a disgusted look on his face holding a glass with a green substance in it.
"Ha." I chuckle and he rolls his eyes at me as our dogs come and tackle my legs. I pat their heads as their tails waggle happily. "What is that?" I say shutting the door and locking it.
I walk towards him plopping down in his lap and peck his lips.
"Mint, Eggs, wheatgrass, and a bulker for my muscles." Tobias says and I laugh kissing his cheek.
"That was a great scene to walk in on." I say with a chuckle, then I run my hands down his arms, these are one of the reasons while I love his job.
"You definitely don't need it." I say and kiss his lips and he grabs my waist effortlessly picking me up to straddle him. He smiles into the kiss and I wrap my arms around his neck, his hands trail down my sides as I open my mouth for a deeper, sensual kiss. He rests his calloused hands on my butt and I leave mine around his neck.
His hands travel their way up to my body and on their way up they take off my shirt leaving me in a polka-dot bra and my leggings, his hands rake through my hair as fist his. I pull away to catch my breath and moan as he travels wet, rough, passionate kisses down my neck.
It is until I knew, that, that escalated quickly.
My phone buzzes loudly making me groan at the interruption. Out of all times for once after two months, Tobias and I finally get intimate and my phone rings.
"Ignore it." Tobias growls pressing his swollen lips on my equally swollen lips making me smile. I am about to object when Tobias takes off his shirts. My phone finally stops ringing making us both sigh and then guess what. . . Tobias phone rings.
"It might be an emergency." I say noticing the time distance between both of the phone calls which was short.
Tobias sighs loudly and grabs his phone off of the arm rest.
"What?" Tobias barks as I chuckle placing my head on his bare chest. I can hear Christina's loud voice scolding Tobias for answering her like that, and for me ignoring her calls because she knows I am off by now.
