The bell rings on the door of Burlesque as I swing it open nodding my head at the workers, I look around the room for Christina, and I spot her on her laptop in the far corner that is located by the window. I am still sometimes surprised on how this can be a great bar, with food at night but during the day, it is family friendly. I guess that is why everyone loves this place.
"Tris!" I hear someone squeal and I feel a pair of slender arms being thrown around my neck. Then I get hit with the strong scent of warm vanilla; Tori. I smile and wrap my arms back around her with a chuckle.
"You squealed my name; what's happening?" I ask out of complete nervousness. She smiles brightly and holds up her left hand and waves it frantically in my face. Great, two weddings I have to attend now. I gasp and wrap my arms around her body bouncing back and forth.
"Really?!" I ask and she nods her head frantically. "To whom might be this lucky guy?" I ask and she takes a deep breath and her face starts to flush.
"Bud."
I gasp covering my hand over my mouth, "Tattoo parlor Bud?" I ask and she nods while I pump my fist in the air laughing. "Free tattoo's for me now." She laughs and playfully punches my shoulder. I congratulate her and then make my way to Christina's table.
"Hello." I say smiling sliding myself down on the seat and Christina smiles up at me, not quite looking like her self. She seems down, stressed out. "What's wrong?" I ask and she sighs placing her hands over my face.
"It's so much to do! I have to make cake arrangements, get dresses, pick colors, get the honeymoon straight, go to freaking Victoria Secret!" She says and lets out a well needed sigh. "Sorry, I've just been really stressed out. While I am working at the boutique I am thinking about the wedding and I am so nervous."
Christina and Will decided to get married in the early spring time which isn't far. We are in mid-December now and in a few weeks we will be in January. They want to get married in the third week of March and with all of the things that needs to get done it seems like the wedding is in two hours.
"I mean, of course I am not going to do food and cake arrangements yet. But, I still need to think of colors and my idea of how I want the cake to look. I am a perfectionist when it comes to fashion so I know it will be tough on me." She sighs and a waiter comes to our table and drops off two salads, and two sandwiches with soup. I am so happy that my bestfriend ordered lunch for us because these babies inside of me is starving.
"Well, just to let you know. . . I'm here for you like you were there on my wedding. If you need anything for me to do, please don't hesitate to ask me. Matter of fact, have a list of people who you want to invite by next week with your colors and I will get to work on them." I say and she smiles at me as I spoon some soup into my mouth.
"Thanks Tris, you're the best. I tried to get the others here today too, but they work. But that's okay, as long as I have you I am content." She bites into her sandwich and moans and I chuckle.
"I know right," I nod my head at her taking a bite of my sandwich. "I am starving and this food hits it right on the spot." I say and she smiles at me setting her food down.
"How are the babies doing?"
"Well, being two months pregnant with twins is no joke. I am constantly hungry or having my head in a toilet bowl vomiting all day. Then I am spent by the end of the day and it takes about half an hour for T-Four to wake me up in the morning." I say and my cheeks flush as I almost give out Tobias' name. Of course they had to hear it at one point of the day at the wedding, but I really wouldn't want to have him constantly reminded of his horrible past: I am the only one who can call him Tobias without being glared at.
"Wow." She says in shock and I nod my head taking a sip of my ginger-ale that was delivered to me before I arrived. The ice melted a little bit, but it is still good.
Christina and I go over plans; we don't get colors, food, venues, or dresses down. We just plan, plan until we can't play anymore. December is the month of planning, January is the month of honeymoon looking, booking and shopping. February is the month where the orders get placed in for everything an then March is the month where we set up and do last minute arrangements.
We are supposed to go shopping in two weeks just to look for dresses, and get an idea for colors and food. When Christina's wedding comes around I will be five months and Christina wants to make sure that my dress will be able to fit perfectly. I know that this is going to be a busy three months so I need to make sure that I am on my A-game. . . And Tobias, and the twins.
