My boys are almost one month old, they are just a huge blessing to my life. Having them here in the world with us was kind of challenging but Tobias and I are managing to get the job done. I am officially back to work which is amazing. I missed working so much, but leaving them was really tough.

"Alright Tobias, once again. I am leaving you with the boys." I tell Tobias placing my hands on my hips. He smiles at me and stretches on the couch. "Remember the schedule okay?"

"Tris, I have it all planned out okay. This is only your second day at work, the first day was a success. I have it." Tobias stands to his feet, placing his large hands on my shoulders, "I love you, have an awesome day at work. I have it under control." He ushers me towards the door. I chuckle and turn back around kissing both of my boys and Tobias once more before I leaving.

"Tris!" Ashley, my assistant, smiles and runs up to me. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm good, how about yourself?"

"I'm well," She smiles and hands me a folder, "There is a festival coming up soon, and they need the roads blocked downtown. So, this folder holds the area and that needs to be blocked off. We need you to approve and assign men to guard." I nod my head and thank her going into my office, seeing the dust particles on my bookshelf. Monday, when I came to work my office was dimly lit but my desk was clear of dust like someone had cleaned it. There were balloons and gift bags for the boys scattered around my room and they even set up a welcome back lunch.

I sit at my desk, looking over the files and I assign police officers to go out. When I am finished I browse on my computer and do a few things and then after a while, I decide to call Tobias, "Hello?" Tobias deep voice rumbles through the phone, I hear whining in the background and my heart drops.

"Hey babe, I was just calling to check up, how are things?"

"Things are okay, Jonah is a little fussy but there is nothing I can't do to fix it. They both ate already and Matthew is laying on the large pillow. . . chilling." Tobias laughs his voice fading in and out a bit, I can tell that he is rocking Jonah at the moment.

"Alright. . ." I trail off, biting my lip as I watch people rush around the outside of my office, a few people nodding at me. "Do you need me to come home?"

"No, I have it under control. Baby, do your work. I will be fine here with the boys, if I need anything I won't hesitate to call. I am there father." He chuckles as the whining dies down. I give a small smile and nod my head, standing on my feet.

"Alright, I love you."

"I love you too."

"Bye Tris," Ashley tells me as she places her lightweight jacket on holding her bag, it's early July but the wind is chilly especially at night."Are you heading home soon?" She asks looking around the large office that I can see out of my window. On the other side is where the 911 operators are up all night answering phone calls, everyone shifts on this side are done. I am the only one still here.

"Yeah, I just have to place the files in. You go ahead home, see you Thursday." I tell her and she nods her head bidding her goodbyes and leaves my office. I walk over to my file cabinet with a sigh, opening it up and taking the new files off of my desk and placing them in the correct order. When I am finished, I pack up my things and my phone dings.

I see that it's a text from Tori.

Hey girl, it's been a while since you've sang here at the club. I was thinking a reunion night week after next. What do you think?-  Tori

I smile instantly happiness flowing throughout my body, with the boys almost one month I should be totally fine. . . but, then again. . . they are only about to be one month. Ugh, I feel bad already. I shrug it off and text her back 'We'll see how things are going to work out'. I hate to leave her on edge, but the boys come first before a little activity that can be accomplished any other time out of the year.

I leave the building walking out until I hear my name being called, I turn around to see a familiar person but I can't quite seem to put my finger on who it is. I've seen this person before and this forgettable mommy brain isn't helping. The only thing that's weird about it is that the person, called me Beatrice. No one has called me that for a while, only my family do, "Excuse me, Beatrice is it?" He asks as he gets closer to me, he looks so damn familiar.

"Yes?" I nod my head confused.

"I'm Erin. . ." He says happily, I furrow my eyebrows at him. "At the farmers market in Rockaway? You were pregnant? I tried to pay for the food but you instantly shut me down." He says with a small laugh and it hits me. . . the creep. . . but how does he know my  name? We've never exchanged names.

"H-How do you know my name though?" I ask still in utter complete shock, I forgot that he told me that he is from Portland too.

"Well, when you completely shut me down with me trying to be a gentlemen, you swiped your card and I saw your name. . . Beatrice." He laughs and I nod my head at him. "Well, you're not pregnant anymore when did you have the kid?" Okay. . .he is way too friendly for me.

"I had twins, boys." I say clicking my phone to see the boys on my lock screen. He smiles at the phone and nods his head. "You live around here?" Time for me to ask the personal questions.

"Yeah, I live closer to downtown though. I had just came here to ask a few questions for a job opening, I got laid off at my other job. Do you work here?"

"Yeah, I am the Chief of the Federal Bureau of investigation here in Portland." I nod my head.

"Do you know any openings?"

"I can check for you tomorrow. But, I must get home to see my boys. I miss them dearly, nice talking to you Erin." I give a small smile adjusting my bag on my arm holding my keys in my hand.

"You too Beatrice." He nods his head at me.

"Oh, you don't have to call me that. You can just call me Tris." I say and he smiles widely at me.

"Tris, I like it."

How do you feel about Erin? Hopefully more things are going to come up. . . don't expect this to be a cliche happy ending book. Plus, Erin is in the divergent series as someone in Abnegation― but, Erin in this book is a guy because I like the name. I hope you enjoyed! More drama to come!
