I let out a loud, joyful shriek as Tobias runs around the beach with me thrown across his shoulder. The beach here in San Salvador is way better than the one back at home. The water is clearer, warmer, crisper. Don't get me wrong, Portland all the way, but I really am enjoying our time here in the Bahamas instead of being in the cold climate of Portland.
"Four if you drop me I am going to murder you!" I shriek again as he spins around in circles making me clutch on to his back not wanting to fall. Right after leaving the escape room we came to the beach and changed in the dressing rooms that is located in the front of the beach.
We have been here for an hour and it has been amazing. We played dodge ball, Volleyball, swam around, played Marco-polo. Overall, it is a great vacation so far and it's only day two of us being here.
"I'm not going to drop you." He says stepping into the water. "I'm going to throw you!" He exclaims throwing me far in the water. I swim my way back up to the surface and playfully glare at him and start laughing.
"You are so stupid!" I shout splashing him with water and he laughs jumping behind Zeke who is really determined on jumping over waves.
"Dude, don't come behind me. I want to live!" Zeke says running away making me chuckle and stand on my feet walking towards Tobias.
"Did I mention that I love your bathing suit?" Tobias says pulling me to stand in front of him and we watch the sun slowly make it's way down, almost as if it is touching the water.
"Plenty of times." I say smiling and he smirks grabbing my butt and I squeal bouncing away from him.
"I don't know about you guys, but I am starving." Uriah exaggerates purposely bumping into Tobias and Tobias bumps him back rather hard and he falls down into the water making Marlene and the rest howl with laughter.
"I'm pretty hungry too!" Shauna nods her head and we all start to agree, we only ate breakfast this morning with a little bit of chips that Uriah tried to sneak on the road but Zeke found them and lets just say that we all demolished them.
"Perfect timing." Christina nods her head as we emerge out of the water going to where our towels are placed. "We will have enough time to eat, take showers, and get a little bit of shut-eye before we head out tonight."
"Sounds fun!" Amber beams excitedly as I slip on my tan lace kimono and flip flops after towel drying myself off.
"I still can't believe that you guys couldn't come with us to L.A. It was so much fun." Al says and we start making our way back to the parking deck so we can go to a restaurant, it feels like my stomach is eating its self right now.
"I know." Duke says rather disappointedly making me give a slight glare to Al and he shrugs his shoulders placing his arms in the arms in mock surrender.
"I think that so far this vacation is beating L.A." Will says and we all agree. Being in L.A was fun, it was just the traffic and all of the heat and stuff. Here it is warm with a chill feeling to it, I wouldn't mind living here. Then of course with the little issue of Tobias and the luggage guy, I think his name was Alex or something like that.
We all decide on this nice restaurant called Hy's Steak House that is close to the beach. It has an upstairs and downstairs, we chose to eat on the upstairs floor where we got a table that has a beautiful overview of the ocean where the sun is now setting. The set up is very relaxing with a wooden table that is glossed over with matching chairs, of course we had to scoot two other tables over so that we can all have room but other than that it is great.
It is a collard shirt and shoe kind of place but we were too lazy and really didn't have enough time to change into something fancy so we just put back on what we had earlier over our swimsuits.
We didn't get any appetizers because that s*it was very expensive, like too expensive. We had enough money to buy us all something but we tried to be reasonable and just skipped over it, like the caviar was 170.00 an ounce, that is expected because it is caviar. But, the seafood platter- Ahi sashimi, Fresh Oysters, Lobster Meat, Crab Meat and Jumbo Shrimpo Shrimp.- Was around 40 something dollars. So, we just got the cheese bread which was 4 dollars for eight pieces and we already got one free basket.
I decided to get the Chicken Marsala which was amazing; Boneless breast of chicken, done in a traditional marsala wine sauce - sauteed with lemon butter, capers, and wine. I had mashed potatoes on the side with a salad and Ferrari I-Carano Chardonnay Sonoma.
Tobias got Filet of Beef "Wellington", which was also great since I tried his and he tried mine. It was A tender filet topped with pate maison and mushroom duxelles, then baked in very light pastry. Served with cabernet truffle sauce he got the same sides as me with the same drink and oh my goodness talk about how good that was, I regret not getting it but my food is so great that it really didn't matter.
Our total came up to 216.80. Tobias almost chocked on his wine when he saw the bill making the waiter give a slight chuckle saying that most people do the same thing. I paid for my half and Tobias paid for his half even though he said he could pay for it all but I told him that it would be fair. I would hate to see the total of all of our stuff added up together since Uriah almost passed out on the floor when he got his bill.
This restaurant is very fancy and the food is great, I wouldn't mind coming back after I got my raise from my job. We grab our leftovers and make our way back to the hotel.
