Raven’s P.O.V.
After Jace told me about his uncle and the fact that Jace can’t see his uncle for two months, I was shocked that the cops would think that. Jace pulls me up to my feet and then Aiden comes in and before he says anything Jace says, “Let me guess, dad wants to speak with me?” Aiden nods his head and Jace says, “Stay here with Raven?” Aiden nods his head and Jace says to me, “Stay with Aiden until I get back.” I nod my head and Jace heads off to find out what his father wants and I am all alone with Aiden. I sit back down on the couch and Aiden says, “You wanna go outside?” I nod my head and say, “Sure.”
We head outside and begin our walk around the house. We’re walking for at least an hour when Aiden’s phone goes off so he answers it saying, “Hey, Jace.” Aiden cringes slightly and says, “Raven and I are outside walking.” I lean against the house and Aiden says, “Okay, were coming back.” We get back in the house and then Jace comes over and he pulls me behind him and then he yells out, “What the hell were you doing with my mate?” Aiden puts his hands up in surrender and says, “All I was doing was taking Raven for a walk around the house.” Jace grabs Aiden’s shirt and shouts out, “You have no business taking my mate outside without telling me.”
I put my hand on Jace’s arm and say, “Let go.” He let’s go and Aiden says, “I didn’t know that I had to tell you but I will do that in the future. Jace puts his arm around me and says, “It’s alright, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have gotten mad at you.” Aiden nods his head and says, “it’s okay.” Jace puts his hand on Aiden’s shoulder and then Jace and I sit on the couch. I got the remote from Jace and then I turned it to one of my favorite shows, ‘Burn Notice’. They were showing the newest season and it was really awesome, they were blowing lots of shit up. After the episode was over with, Jace stands up and says, “Can we go into my room now?” I nod my head and we head into his room.
Jace’s P.O.V.
Raven and I went into my room and we sat on the floor and Raven pulls out some manga to read. I sit beside her to read what she’s reading and the manga was called ‘Vampire Knight’. What really sucked was that it wasn’t the first volume but it was volume eleven. I tapped Raven’s shoulder and when I got her attention I say to her, “This is volume eleven.” Raven nods her head and says, “I know that, I already have the first ten volumes and I even have volume twelve with me.” I sigh and say, “Do you have the other ones here?” Raven shakes her head and says, “Their at home.”
I nod my head and say, “That really bites.” Raven puts her hand on my shoulder and says, “Well when we go to visit my family, I can bring them.” I nod my head and say, “Maybe you could call your dad and see if you can come over tomorrow.” Raven nods her head and says, “I could text him and ask him if we can come over tomorrow.” I nod my head and say, “Can you ask him now?” Raven nods her head and then she grabs her phone and begins texting her father. After Raven gets done texting, it only takes a minute before her father texts back and she says, “He says he’s okay with it.”
I nod my head and say, “Does he know that I’ll be coming?” Raven nods her head and says, “I already asked him.” I nod my head and say, “What did he say about that?” Raven’s phone goes off and it’s a text, she read it first and then says, “He’s not too excited about it but he says that you need to mind yourself.” I nod my head and say, “I’ll behave myself.” Raven smiles at me and I say, “For now I will pick something else to read, do you have any manga that begin with volume one?” Raven grabs her bag and pulls out a manga called, ‘Black Bird’ and says, “I have eight volumes in this bag.” I grab the first volume of Black Bird and then I say, “What’s the other two you got?” Raven pulls out the first two volumes of ‘Soul Eater’ and she says, “There’s six volumes out right now but I had to order three through six.” I nod my head and then I begin reading Black Bird.
