Raven’s P.O.V.
After Jace lets go of my hands, I begin crying and he holds me and begins whispering a song that soothes me. I wipe my tears and try to listen to the song but what bothers me is that I don’t know what the song is called. Jace finishes the song and I say, “What is that song called?” Jace doesn’t say anything for a while and then he says, “My mom sang that song to me when I was a baby, it soothed me.” I wanted to ask more but I felt that it was a subject not meant to be continued on. Jace kisses my forehead and he says, “I’m sorry about earlier; I didn’t want to scare you at all and I blew it.” I put a hand up to his cheek and watched him close his eyes and I say, “It’s alright, I’m not scared anymore.”
Jace puts his hand on top of my hand and he says, “You know something?” I say what to him and he says, “When I was away, I kept thinking to myself, ‘when would it be the day that I can say three wonderful words to my beautiful mate’.” I say what three words and he says, “I love you.” I kiss him on the lips and say, “I love you too.” Jace kisses me back and I begin playing with his hair. Jace moans a little and says, “Damn that feels good.” I laugh at the way he says that and I continue to play with his hair.
Jace rolls over on his back and he pulls me on top of him. I lay my head on his chest and Jace begins rubbing my back which makes me really tired so I say, “I’m going to take a nap, alright?” Jace says that I can take a nap so I close my eyes and let sleep take over me. I woke up three hours later still on top of Jace and I lifted my head up and I see that Jace is asleep. I try to get out of the bed to go to the bathroom but Jace tightens his grip around me and I hear him whisper, “Stop moving.” I lay still and decide to wait until Jace wakes up. An hour went by and Jace still hasn’t woken up yet so I decided to wake him up kissing him.
I kissed him on the lips and he instantly wakes up and I say, “Can you let go of me so I can go to the bathroom?” Jace lets go of me and as soon as I step inside the bathroom he says, “Hurry up.” I turn around and glare at him and he says, “What? I enjoy having you laying on me.” I shut the door and I hear Jace say, “Don’t take too long or I’ll come in there and get you.” I do my business and then just when I’m about to wash my hands I hear Jace yell out, “Are you almost done yet?” I yell back that I’m washing my hands and he yells back, “Hurry up please.” I wash my hands and then after I dry them off, I open the door and Jace says, “I was about to pull you out of there.”
I get on the bed and Jace pats his chest and I lay myself on top of him. I move a little for a more comfortable position and Jace moans and he says, “Stop moving please.” I lay back down and Jace says, “Thank you.” I feel Jace kissing the top of my head and he pulls my body so that our heads could touch and then he kisses my lips. I kiss him back and he says, “I love you Raven.” I say it back to him and I lay back down on his chest and he wraps his arms around me. I feel Jace playing with my hair and I also feel him put it in a braid.
Just when I’m about to say something somebody begins knocking on the door and the guy says, “Jace, you need to take Raven home.” I sigh not wanting to leave yet and Jace says, “Man that sucks.” I make an agreeable noise and Jace says, “I better take you home before my dad comes back.” I get off of Jace and we both walk out of his room towards the front door and we head outside towards his car. Jace opens up the door for me so I get in and he closes the door. After he gets in the car as well he puts the key in the ignition but he doesn’t go anywhere. I take his hand in mine, hoping that he’ll look at me but he doesn’t so I say, “Jace, what’s wrong, please tell me.” He still doesn’t say anything or even look at me so I decided to get out of the car and walk home.
