Raven’s P.O.V.
*One year later*
I called my dad to see if Jeremiah was at the house and he told me that he is so I say, “Alright, can you tell him that I need to speak to him?” Dad tells me that he will so we hang up and I put my phone away and I locate Jace. I found him in the living room and I say, “I need to see my father.” Jace looks at me and he says, “For what? And do you need me to drive you there?” I sat on the couch and say, “I need to keep Jeremiah from going to war with Dorian.” Now I knew I had his attention and I say, “I’ll drive myself, just please stay here until I get back.” Jace nods his head and he says, “Alright, I’ll stay here just please hurry.”
I tell him that I’ll hurry up and then I get off of the couch and I kiss Jace before I head out the door. I get in Jace’s car and just as I was about to drive off, Jace runs over to me. I roll down the window and Jace says, “Be careful.” I smile and nod my head and then Jace leans into the car and he kisses me hard. I kiss him back and he says, “I’ll see you when you get back; I love you.” I tell him that I love him back and then he makes his way back into the house. Once the door shuts, I begin driving off heading towards my dad’s house.
When I arrived, I got out of the car and up the stairs. Just as I was about to dig out my keys to unlock the door when it opens by itself and its Miles. He hugs me tight and I say, “Where is Jeremiah?” Just as Miles is about to speak a voice says, “Right here.” Miles turns around and I see Jeremiah and I say, “I need to speak to you alone.” Jeremiah nods his head and he walks out the door and we go for a walk. When we arrived on the other side of the house I say, “You can’t go to war with Dorian! Call it off for me, please!” I look at Jeremiah as he’s shaking his head and he says, “I’m sorry, I can’t.”
Jeremiah’s P.O.V.
After Raven and I finished our talk I had to leave to assemble the men. I got into my car and quickly drove off not wanting Raven to try and stop me. I called Gage and told him to get the men ready and then I arrived at my house. I put on my battle outfit and then I got back into my car and drove off. I called Gage and told him that I’m close to the battleground and then when I arrived my men were ready. A few hours later I saw Dorian and his men coming. Just as I was about to get on my horse Gage says, “He’s motioning for you to follow him.”
I turn to face Dorian and sure enough he is so I say to Gage, “I’m going to find out what he wants, stay here and don’t advance unless I say so.” I look at Gage and he says, “Yes sir.” I make my way towards where Dorian is and then we went off towards the spot we went too, fifty years ago. Just as I was about to speak Dorian says, “Could you at least stop and think about Raven and how she is going to think of this?” I sigh and say, “So what do you think we should do then? I don’t really want to fight no more because of Raven.” Dorian shrugs his shoulders and he says, “Sign a treaty?” I nod my head and say, “Alright, but we both have to agree to them.”
We began thinking and talking at the same time but we really couldn’t come up with anything. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn’t notice that Dorian was talking so I shook my thoughts away and say, “I’m sorry what did you say?” Dorian shakes his head and he says, “I said maybe the treaty should say that we would no longer be enemies but friends; maybe allies and that we would help each other if one of us is called to war.” I nod my head and say, “That sounds like a good treaty.” Dorian begins grabbing something and then I see he has a pen and paper. He writes down something on it and then he reads it out loud and then after he read it we both sign it. We shake hands afterwards and I hoped that Dorian and I could forever be friends and allies.
