Raven’s P.O.V.
When Jace told me that he loves me, I thought that I was dreaming so I say, “What did you say?” Jace shakes his head and says, “You heard me, I love you.” I gasp and say, “I don’t know what to say.” Jace grabs my hand and says, “You could say you love me back.” I shake my head and Jace says, “What you hate me?” I shake my head again and say, “I don’t hate you.” Jace squeezes my hand harder and says, “Then please say it.”
I shake my head and say, “Not now.” Jace nods his head but it’s obvious that he’s angry and he says, “You can tell me when you’re ready, I guess in the meantime I’m going to bed.” Jace gets in the bed and then I get in but he doesn’t pull me on top of him like he did before. When I turn to face him, he turns the other direction away from me and then I start crying slightly and say, “Jace?” He turns his body slightly and says, “Yes?” I wipe my eyes and say, “I love you Jace.” He turns to face me and says, “I love you too Raven.”
Jace takes his shirt off his shirt and pulls me on top of him. I was about to lay my head on Jace’s stomach but then he stops me and then he begins to kiss me. We kiss for a while but then I stop him and say, “It’s getting late.” Jace kisses me one more time and says, “Will continue this tomorrow.” I nod my head and then I lay on Jace’s chest and I feel his hand on my head. I start to feel my eyes get heavy and I invite it to overcome me.
I woke up the next day alone in the bed and then I got up to go and find Jace. I checked in the living room and he wasn’t in there, so I checked his dad’s study room but he wasn’t in there. I found a note on his desk that was addressed to me so I grab it and all it says is, “Sorry you had to wake up alone in the house but we had to leave to see an old friend.” I crush the paper and toss it in the trash and then I head into the living room. I sit down on a couch and three hours passed by and yet no return of Jace or anybody for that matter. I lay on the couch and as soon as my head hits the cushion I fall asleep.
Jace’s P.O.V.
My dad had woken us up early and we had to go visit an uncle that was in jail. When we got to the visiting room I saw my uncle sitting and when he saw us he stood up, motioning us. We sit down and my dad says, “Hello, Jake.” He smiles and says, “Hello, James, what’s going on?” James shrugs his shoulders and says, “Nothing really, good news is, Jace has found his mate.” Jake looks shocked and says to me, “Really? That’s great, where is she?” I was about to speak but then dad beats me to it and says, “She’s visiting her family.” Jake looks unhappy about that and says, “I would’ve liked to meet her.”
I nod my head and say, “I’m sure she would’ve liked to see you too.” Jake smiles at me and says, “Perhaps you could bring her next time.” I nod my head and say, “Definitely.” My dad and Jake talk to each other privately without my brothers and I. Kyle starts pacing around in a circle and I yell out, “Kyle, will you stop pacing and sit down?” He sits down beside me and says, “I’m sorry, you know I pace around when I get nervous.” I nod my head and say, “Yeah, I know.”
Dad comes out and says, “Time to go home.” I nod my head, smiling, because I was thinking about returning home to my mate. We get to the car, get in and drive off. We get home and I run into the house and I see Raven laying on the couch. I kiss her cheek and then I whisper in her ear, “Babe, I’m back.” Raven wakes up and says, “I missed you.” I smile and say, “I missed you too.”
Raven kisses my lips and says, “Where did you go?” I kiss Raven back and say, “I went to see my uncle, he’s in jail.” Raven nods her head and I continue with, “He would like to meet you.” She nods her head and I say, “Only thing is, were not allowed to see him for another two months.” Raven gives me a curious look and then I continue with, “My uncle says that the cops might think were helping him break out of jail.” Raven gives me a questioning look and I say, “If the cops think that were planning on getting him out, they won’t let us see him anymore.”
