Jace’s P.O.V.
I couldn’t sleep at all last night; I had too many thoughts and questions running through my head. When it got to eleven o’ clock in the morning, I decided to call my mentor and he answered right away. I told him about what happened the other day and he says, “I thought I told you before the day you left.” I tell him that I don’t recall that and he says, “The only reason you froze up is because you were about to tell an outsider what kind of discipline you had to go through.” I tell him that the person I was going to tell to, was my mate and he says, “Well if you two haven’t exchanged blood or mated yet then you can’t tell her because she is considered an outsider still.” I didn’t like what I was hearing, about not being able to tell Raven about what happened but I knew that I would have to accept it until Raven and I mated. I hung up the phone with my mentor and decided to call my mate.
When she answered I then asked her if I could take her out somewhere. She said that she would like to so I say, “Is there anywhere that you would like to go?” Raven tells me that she would like to go the mall so I say, “Alright I’ll be there soon to pick you up, okay?” After she says okay, I hung up the phone and go to take a shower and then I get ready quickly so I can go pick Raven up. I grab my keys and my cell phone and then I run to the door and outside to the car. I drive to her house and then I get out, shut the door and run to the front door. I knock on the door and it opens to reveal Raven, my beautiful mate.
She steps outside, shuts the door and says, “So did your dad know what happened to you?” I scratch my head; look at Raven and say, “Yeah about that, he didn’t know so I ended up calling my mentor.” I look at Raven’s face carefully and I see that I have caught her attention so I say, “He told me that the reason I froze up was because I’m not supposed to tell any outsiders what happened to me while I was being disciplined.” Raven shows two emotions on her face, anger and shock and then she says, “So I’m considered an outsider!?” I flinch at her anger and say, “For now until we have mated.” Raven calms her anger down a bit but you can still feel it and she says, “Fine I guess I can wait until were mated.” I grab Raven’s hand and say, “I love you.”
Raven squeezes my hand gently and she says, “I love you too.” I send her a smile and then I stop and so does she and then I kiss her on the lips deeply. When I pull back I see that she’s trying to catch her breath and after two minutes she finally can breathe right. I ask her if she’s okay and she says that she’s okay so we begin to walk to my car and I open up the door and let her in. After she’s in, I shut the door and walk towards the driver’s side and I drive off heading towards the mall. When we arrive, it was packed but I actually found a parking space and we get out and head inside. Once were inside, I’m being dragged by Raven towards Hot Topic and I allowed her to.
We were getting a lot of stares but I didn’t give a shit if people looked. As soon as we got inside the store Raven looked down at our hands as if she just realized that we’ve been holding hands this entire time and she says, “Have I been dragging you?” I nod my head and Raven’s mouth opens up wide so I say, “Better close your mouth, unless you want a fly to go in.” Raven shuts her mouth and says, “I am so sorry.” I shrug my shoulders and say, “It’s alright, I didn’t mind.” After I say that, Raven heads over to the cd section and begins looking for any she might want. I place my arm around her waist and laid my head on her shoulder and then I say, “If you’re going to move, please tell me.” Raven nods her head and goes back to looking at cd’s. After she looks at all of them, she says, “I’m moving now.” I lift my head up and tell her that she can move now and then she moves to the t-shirts section and then I lay my head on her shoulder again. I watch her hands move as she’s searching for her favorite bands.
