Jace’s P.O.V.
I really hated that Raven had to see that but what dad says is true; I treat him badly even though he wants the best for me. I walked over to Raven and I pulled her towards me and Ash says, “I’m sorry Jace.” I turn slightly to face Ash and I say, “It’s okay, really.” Ash sighs in relieve and he says, “Thanks.” I let go of Raven for just a bit to hug Ash and after I did that, I gently pulled Raven back beside me. I turn around to face my dad and say, “Why did you come here?” Dad looks at me and then at Raven and he says, “Wanted to see you and Raven.”
I give dad a look that says, ‘Really? That was it?’ and he says, “What can I say? I hardly get to see you Jace and I wanted to see Raven.” I smile a little and say, “Well do you want to go somewhere?” Dad begins to nod his head but then he says, “Raven, you okay with going somewhere?” I look at Raven and she says, “Yeah, I’m okay with it.” I look back at dad and he says, “Excellent, where shall we go?” Before any of us can say anything Ash says, “A friend of mine just told me that he has a private party and we could go to it.” All of us look at Ash in shock and then Raven says, “But I don’t want to wear fancy clothes.”
I nod my head in agreement and Ash says, “My friend says that you don’t need too, nobody is at his party.” Raven and I both sigh in relieve and dad says, “Well, when is it?” Ash holds up his hand and he says, “Hang on.” Ash then begins texting again on his phone and then after he gets an answer he says, “He says it’s already started and it will continue for five hours more.” Ash raises his head then after staring at his phone and dad says, “Well, let’s go.” Raven and get on our shoes and when we make our way towards my car dad says, “You two are going in my car.” Raven and I then make our way towards my dad’s car and then dad says, “There better not be any alcohol at the party.” Ash sighs and says, “Dad it’s not like we’re going to get drunk anyway.” Dad glares at Ash and he says, “Still, you don’t need your brother and his mate drinking.” I sigh aloud and just when I was about to speak Raven says, “Please, my dad would kick my ass if I touched that shit, so can we go?”
Ash’s P.O.V.
I smile at Raven and then I look at dad and the look on his face was priceless. He had a shocked look on his face and then he recovers and says, “Um… shall we go now?” We all get in the car and then dad says, “Where too?” I told him where it was at and we began to make our way towards my friends place. We were only two blocks away from the house when Raven says, “What is your friends name?” I tell Raven that his name is Jimmy and Jace says, “Are we close? I’m getting bored here.” I turn slightly and I glare at Jace and he says, “What” It’s true.”
Dad stops the car suddenly and he says, “Were here.” Jace claps his hands and he says, “Finally.” I growl a little, my anger rising and dad says, “Calm the fuck down Ash.” I take a deep breath and dad says, “Jace… sometimes I think you act like a little kid.” I laugh at that and then we all get out and head towards the door. I knocked on the door really loud and then a few minutes later somebody opens up the door. When the door fully opens I see that it’s Jimmy so I say, “Hey Jimmy.” Jimmy laughs as he pulls me into a hug and he says, “Thought you weren’t going to make it.”
When Jimmy let’s go of me I turn to face Jace and I say, “Some idiot whose my brother had to piss everybody off.” Jimmy then sees my dad, Jace and Raven and he says, “Who’s the girl?” Jace growls loudly, pulls Raven behind him and he says, “Mine.” Jimmy puts his hands up in the surrender and he says, “You all vampires?” Dad glares at me and Jimmy says, “I found out when Ash and I were kids; don’t ask what happened.” I laugh a little the memory of that day flashed in my head. Jace of course breaks my flashback when he says, “You going to let us in.” I turn around to hit Jace on the head and Jimmy says, “Sure... come in.” We made our way inside and Jimmy says, “Let me escort you guys to the back, that’s where the party is.” We arrived in the backyard and there wasn’t really much people so I say to Jimmy, “I figured you would’ve had more people here.” Jimmy nods his head and says, “More are coming over.”
