Do we ever really know somebody? I mean 100%?
I don't think so. I think we only tell others what they want to know.
If friends ask me something that I feel uncomfortable about, I'll do my best not to answer or just change the topic.
I think its also because people don't ask the deep questions. They don't ask about their parents or where they grew up when they were younger. They don't ask how they met their best friend for the first time or what they did over the long weekend. They don't ask what they do in their spare time. They don't ask how we feel in love with our favorite artists.
Because of this, we never really know somebody and I find that very scary.
