Who I am

I'm a teenage girl. I should be figuring out who I am and what I want to do but I already know the answers to these questions.

I'm the girl that would rather stay home than go out and party. I always have a book I'm reading or even multiple at a time. If I'm not reading, I'm most definitely writing or thinking about poem ideas that I could potentially write. I'm the girl that posts quotes or favourite paragraphs from a current novel on her Instagram feed.

I'm the girl who lays in bed at night and listens to the Relax and Unwind playlists on Spotify. Letting all the troubles and the triumphs of the day roll over me like gentle rolling waves. I'm the girl, if someone were to make into a song, would be nothing but a gentle melody.

I'm the girl who has her heads in the clouds, dreaming and wishing for things to happen. The dreams and wishes probably won't come true but they keep me alive, sparking hope inside and possibility inside me.

This is who I am, at least for today.
