The word Sorry's meaning has changed to me over the years.

As a child I was taught you said it when you knew your actions were wrong.

Now, I feel that when people my age say I'm sorry they don't actually mean it. It just seems that it easily flows out of our mouths because we've been saying it for years but we've forgot the actual meaning.

When you say sorry you're supposed to know how you messed up, how you affected that person and thought about how badly you messed up. Don't just say it to make the person feel better. When someone's saying sorry to me, I'm hoping that they know how bad their actions or words affected me.

The word sorry has also changed for me in another way.

Sorry means you know you messed up but that doesn't changed what happened. It might make someone feel better knowing that they regret what they said or did but that doesn't change anything. You can't go back in time and change what happened, they might remember you're words or actions forever possibly.

And all you could do was give a pathetic sorry.
