A couple of weeks ago the city of Manchester came to a screeching halt after a nail bomb went off at an Ariana Grande concert, killing 22 people and injuring many others.

Now I want you to imagine:

You're excited. You've just heard that your favourite artist is coming to town and you're bugging your parents to buy you tickets. Your their biggest fan, you have all their CD's and songs on your phone and you have a lot of merchandise, your one dream is to see them live.

Then, your parents get you the tickets.

You're beyond excited. Your an emotional mess, thinking about seeing them live and that all your hard work to get these tickets have paid off. You start planning your outfit and telling your friends that you got the tickets. They're excited for you, already wishing that you'll have the best time.

And you do. You have the best time of your life. The best day of your life actually. You got to see your idol perform live and it's everything you've always wanted it to be. Your throat is sore because you've been screaming and singing along for hours, your legs are telling you to sit down but you won't. Why? Because it's the best night of your life. The one that you'll never forget and you'll tell your kids about your first concert experience.

Imagine all of that, only to find out that the best night of your life is the last night of your life. Imagine never coming out of the arena. Never seeing your parents again or friends, never graduating high school or college or getting that promotion at work that you've been working really hard for. To have all your goals and personal aspirations be taken away because you've been taken away.

This is a reality for 22 families affected by this tragedy. Not to mention the people who did survive, the families who got to hold their loved ones again but for them to never be the same. They have PTSD, nightmares, depression, anxiety and a boat load of other troubles too. Their lives forever impacted in indescribable ways.

The city of Manchester, the families, the fans, Ariana and her family shall never forget this day. Which is why, we should never forget this day either.
