Sunrise & Sunset

My favourite parts of the day is when it begins and when it ends.

Getting up before dawn, working out until my body is coated with a light sweat and dew is still dotting the grass. It's cool out and the sky is starting to become lighter, the first sign of life.

I sit on the wet grass and watch the sun slowly rise. The sky goes from a dark midnight blue to a light turquoise shade in a matter of moments. The few clouds floating above are a cotton candy pink colour before slowly fading into a casual white in front of me.

Light shines from behind the buildings adjoining the field and I take a deep of cool summer air, knowing it won't be long until the humidity sets in.

I go about my day. I go to work, to school, I eat, breathe, walk, run and do everything I do before ending up the same place I was 12 hours earlier; the field.

Sunset is exactly watching sunrise in reverse.  It's the clouds that turn colour first; starting off as purple colours before lightening up and going to pink. There's a few clouds that'll start off pink and go to an dark orange or go to pink to a light orange.

The grass will begin to get wet as the clouds descends over the horizon, getting darker and darker by the second. The landscape before my eyes becomes harder to see, atlas now my vision can only register the faint buildings around me.

I smile to myself; another sunrise and sunset down.
