CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN
~Lilys POV~
When Jacob awoke, he didn't seem tired at all. He said we should scout for Emberclan troupes on shore.
I reluctantly agreed, and he led me to the weapons room.
When we entered, my jaw dropped. The room was literally glowing and the weapons on the shelves shone in the light from a dozen bronze braziers mounted on the walls.
Jacob gave me a bronze sword, but when I picked it up, I could barely lift it.
"Are you sure she's suited for a weapon Jacob?" Angie enquired. "Maybe we can find out what her powers are,"
"That takes time," Jacob said simply "and these days, that's one thing we don't have enough of,"
In the end, we settled for a silver dagger called katoptris.
"It means mirror in Ancient Greek," Jacob frowned. "It has a...long history,"
There was no time for further explanation though, because just then an alarm blared.
"That's them," Jacob said gravely. "Emberclan,"
