CHAPTER FOURTEEN

~Jacobs POV~

After that horrible coal beast flew away, I crumpled to the ground.

I HATED griffin. HATED him.

I'd known him for years, ever since a horrible day many years ago when Angie had started to fall for his outer good looks. He was like a siren, he lured people in and then destroyed them. Sometimes even literally. Angie had, thankfully, escaped, but ever since then she had been very careful who she dated.

I hoped he wasn't doing anything to Lily. I knew time passed differently in the land of elements, so for every minute here, an hour passed there. Lily had already spent several hours in that horrible place where Griffin lived.

The water swirled around my feet, over my body and wetted my jet black hair.

I felt power seeping into me, but without my amulet I didn't have enough strength to tap from it. Without my amulet, i couldn't control it. If I unleashed all my power at once, it would destroy me and everything around me.

Without my amulet, I was left virtually powerless.

"Stay strong Lily," I thought.

I believed that Lilys father had been one if us. From Auquaclan I mean. That's how I could communicate with her telepathically.

I hope she heard my message. I hope she'll stay strong.
