Luke's POV
I wrapped my arms around her as she drifted off to sleep. I couldn't force my eyes to shut. All I could think about was those lines that marked her skin.
How could such a beautiful girl ever want to hurt herself like that? I need to talk to her about it tomorrow. I need to help her. But I don't know how.
How do you help someone like that? It's an internal battle. I have to find a way. I can't just let her hurt herself. She's so beautiful. So perfect.
Thoughts continue to pour through my mind as I look at her soft face. One look at her and she's the most happy girl you know. Look again, and open your eyes this time, and you can see it all.
Her smile hides it for the people who only care to look once, but her eyes speak all the untold stories.
They scream out for help. And I need to be the one to offer that help. I slowly drift off to sleep with one last thought drifting through my head.
