Ashton's POV
It's finally Christmas! I got up early this morning so I could put presents under the tree for Sky, Addi, and Jake.
We'll have our own family Christmas, then Luke and his family are coming over and Megan, Ashton, Calum, and Micheal are supposed to join later on.
It's about 7 now and everything is set up. I made a special Christmas breakfast, the ham for tonight is in the oven, and the kids should be up any minute. I absolutely love Christmas and everything about it.
Only minutes later I hear Addi wake up. I know she's up because she's running around upstairs screaming, "It's Christmas! It's Christmas!"
Only moments later, Jake and Sky are up as well, standing at the top of the stairs. I walk over to the bottom and put on a fake pout. "Guys, it looks like Santa missed us this year! Oh well. He'll get us next year." I say gloomily.
"No he didn't! You're being tricky again!!" Sky says, pointing a little finger at me before they all come clumping down the stairs quickly.
"You got me!" I say, pulling them all into a hug. "Merry Christmas guys. Let's go eat some breakfast." I add.
We all walk into the dining room where I have breakfast set up. Hash browns and eggs and chocolate chip pancakes and fruit and everything else. I always go all out of holidays. Especially Christmas.
"So Addi. Why don't you tell me what we're celebrating today?" I ask, pointing at the arrangement around the manger holding baby Jesus with a smile on my face.
"It's Jesus' birthday!!" She says smiling before she starts singing happy birthday to Jesus. I smile and laugh, nodding my head a bit.
When she's done, I say the blessing and serve them all plates. I sigh before deciding that today, I'm not going to focus on my problems. For them. I make a small plate of fruit and we all sit, eating our food happily.

After breakfast, I sent them all to put on clothes for the day while I clean up breakfast. I got dressed after my shower this morning. I'm wearing my black skinny jeans and a blue dressy-ish sleeveless shirt.
Minutes later Addi and Sky come down the stairs. Addi is wearing a maroon knee-length skirt and a black top, while Sky stuck to black skinny jeans and a purple top. Sky is a lot like me. It flatters me, but worries me at the same time.
"Okay, you girls go to the living room and find a seat before we do our family Christmas, I'll go see what's taking Jake so long." I say, smiling and patting each girl on the head. The both have such beautiful hair. Naturally wavy and brown and not to thick or to thin. It's perfect.
As I'm turning the corner to go upstairs, Jake is coming down. I smile before sending him to the living room as well.

When we are all sat down in the living room, I begin passing out their presents from 'Santa.'
Fifteen minutes later, Addi is setting up her new doll house, Sky is playing her new practice piano (it's like a little kid version and the keys light up where she's supposed to press), and Jake is setting up his new phone. I smile at the kids before me. I don't know what I would do without them.

After about 2 hours, Luke and his family are on their way and all of the wrapping paper is picked up. I had the girls and Jake put away their presents from Santa as they will be getting small things from the family for the party.
Only minutes later, there was a knock at the door. I smile and go to let Luke and his family in. I open the door to see a smiling Luke, 2 guys a bit older than him, and his mother, Liz.
"Hey babe. This is Ben and Jack, and you know my mom." He says walking in and giving me a hug.
"Nice to meet you." I say, not making eye contact. "Umm, here. My family is erm. In here." I add awkwardly.
We then walk into the living room and I introduce everyone. "This is my brother, Jake, and these are my sisters, Addi and Sky." I say, smiling at the 3 on the couch proudly. I really am proud of them. They've never had a normal life, but they grew up strong anyway.
"Umm. What about your parents?" Asks one of Luke's brothers.
My face goes pale as I try to think of an answer that won't make this awkward. Luke smacks his brother on the back of the head, "Shut up, man!" He says.
"No, no. Erm. It's fine. My dad is dead and I'm not really sure where my mother is." I say, looking at the ground.
Seconds later, the doorbell rings. "I'll get it!" I say, glad someone saved me from this awkward situation.
When I open the door, Evan is standing there with Court in his arms. "Hey Evan." I say, smiling. "You just saved me from an awkward conversation. I couldn't thank you enough." I say, laughing a bit.
"It's because I have impeccable timing." He says with a laugh, faking a cocky side.
"Come on in and meet everyone." I say, turning around with a laugh.
We walk into the living room to see everyone sat down talking. Addi is sitting beside Ben telling him about all the cool stuff she got for Christmas. Jake is sitting with Jack and Sky is sitting quietly beside Liz.
"Umm. So this is Evan and my other sister, Court." I say, gaining everyone's attention.
"Luke, got some competition do you?" Jack asks.
I look at Evan then look at Luke and we all burst out laughing. I guess Evan is only a few years older than me. He's 23 and I just turned 18 a little bit ago, but I never even thought anyone could take it like that. The thought never came to mind.
Jack, Ben, and Liz look around the room confused, so I decide to explain.
"Um. Evan is Courteney's dad. He was around a lot throughout my mother's pregnancy and he's basically my only parental figure." I say, still laughing a bit. "Luke, I promise, he's no competition to you." I say, cracking up in laughter again at the end.
"Phew. I was almost worried." Luke said, smiling a bit.
Once we all calmed down, I took Courteney from Evan's arms and sat down beside Luke to feed her.
When her bottle was done, everyone was talking and visiting while I sang softly to Court. As she drifted off, I looked up, to see everyone silent and staring at me. "What?" I ask, utterly embarrassed. I know I can't sing, but Court falls asleep so easy when I do.
"I didn't know you could sing!" Evan says, looking at me amazed.
"I didn't either." Luke adds.
"Me either." Jakes says.
I just sit silently, looking around the room. After a couple more awkward seconds Ben speaks up, "Damn Luke. Pretty, fit, smart, loving, mature, and she can sing. Did you give kidnap her or something? If you need an escape route wink your right eye twice." He jokes.
I laugh and look over to Luke, who is smiling at me. This is insanely awkward. "Erm. Who wants to do presents?" I ask.
Everyone nods, so I scurry upstairs to get the presents for everyone. I come back down, carrying two trash bags full of wrapped presents. When Luke sees, he immediately comes to help. "Oh my god!" He says when he sees me struggling down the stairs.
He takes one of the bags and walks down the stairs beside me. When we get to the bottom, he stops me. "I have a present for you, but I want to exchange ours in private. Is that okay?" He whispers in my ear.
"I was thinking the same thing." I say with a smile.
By the time we reach the living room, everyone has shown up. The large room is full. This is my family. And I could never be happier.
