Ashton's POV
3 weeks later
We're back home now. Luke and I are closer than ever and things are pulling themselves together.
We all sat down with Luke's mother and her boyfriend and it turns out he is really sweet. He wants the best for both of them, he just wasn't sure how to show it and Luke wasn't helping much either.
Anyway, Addi and Sky are getting a little more independent. They know things are getting harder and they're starting to do a little more by themselves. Jake is helping out about the same.
I had my talks with all of them.
Sky worries me a bit, but she's a strong little girl. I'm gonna help her through it. She follows to close to me, so I have to lift her over that hole I fell into.
But things are coming together.
Evan got a promotion at his job already. Apparently they absolutely love him over there. Money isn't much of a problem anymore. I still haven't heard from my mother, but honestly, I don't want to.
All we needed her for was money and she's not giving that anymore. Evan is. We don't need her in our lives.
We may not be the perfect family and we may struggle sometimes, but we make it through. And right now, we're happy.
