Niall's secret child

I lean down into the bathtub and lift the half asleep toddler out of the tub and wrap the children's animal towel around his small body before carrying him into his bedroom where I laid him down on the ground so I'd have more space before I proceeded to dry him before putting a nappy onto him. Today was Atty's first day at daycare and my first day at work. It was 6:30 in the morning and I unfortunately start work at 7:30. Once the diaper tabs were secure I dressed him in the day cares winter uniform which consisted of a pair of sweatpants, a sweatshirt and a beanie which were all blue and red, which were the day care's colours.

Under his sweatshirt I put a long sleeve t-shirt just to make him warmer. I lift him off the ground and hold him against my chest before carrying him down the stairs, not bothering to lock the top child gate, but I locked the bottom one before walking into the kitchen where I sat Atty in his high chair which made him release a disapproving sound before putting his head down on the table connected. For all those parents who complain about their children walking up way to early, I say bullshit. Atticus never wants to wake up.

I smile and kiss the back of his head before walking over to the fridge where I pulled out the carton of milk before closing the fridge door. I reach up into the cupboard and grab out a bottle and unscrew the lid before filling it up to the top with milk. Once it was full I screw the lid back on the bottle before putting the milk back into the fridge. While I was in the fridge I grabbed out the bread. I place the loaf on the counter and grab two plates, one for Atty and one for myself. I put three pieces of toast in the toaster.

After the bread was toasted, I put some Nutella on before cutting Atty's toast up into four squares before walking over to where he was seated in the high chair and placed the plate and his bottle down on the connecting table. "Atty baby wake up" I say as I stroke my babies back. Atty grumbled something before lifting his head up. I pass him a square from his toast and he started to eat it tiredly. I smile and put my plate on the counter before pulling myself up onto a bar stool and I start to eat. After I had finished Atty was struggling to stay awake as he ate the last square.

Once he finished it, I stood up and took both our plates and rinsed them in the sink before lifting Atty out of the high chair and carried him upstairs to the bathroom where I placed him on his step stool in front of the basin and I assisted him with brushing his teeth before I lead him to his bedroom where I slipped some socks and shoes onto his feet before carrying him back downsitairs and into the kitchen.

I grab the bottle off the high chair and pass it to the toddler in my arms who greedily grabbed it and started to drink. I smile and kiss the side of his head before carrying him to the living room where I sat down on the couch and adjust Atticus so he was more comfortable and I turned the TV on to a morning kids cartoon. "G'mornin" I turn my head to see Niall was walking towards me "morning" I say with a small smile on my face "morning baby" Niall said before kissing the top of Atty's head from behind the back of the couch.

"Mornin' dada" Atty mumbled agasint the rest of the bottle. "What time are you leaving?" Niall asked "in ten minuets" I reply as I look at the time, he nodded and wandered off to the Kitchen. Ten minuets passed quickly and it was time for me to leave with Atticus. I lift him off the couch and into my arms before walking into the kitchen where Niall still was. "Say goodbye to daddy" I say passing the boy over to his daddy.

I walk over to the sink where I rinse out Atty's bottle and leave it filled with water before grabbing Atticus' little school bag off the counter which had a change of clothes, a sippy cup and a few diapers. "Cya daddy" Atty said giving Niall a kiss before Niall passed him over to me, I smile and say goodbye to Niall before walking to the front door where I grabbed my car keys, wallet and phone before walking out of the house where the cold air hit us immediately.

Atticus let out a squeal and hid his face in my neck, I chuckle and walk over to the black range rover that Niall had bought for me and I unlocked it before opening the back door where I lifted Atty into his car seat and buckled him in and placed his bag on the ground at his feet before shutting the door and I climbed into the drivers seat and drove to the day care Atty was going to be attending.

"I go here?" Atticus questioned as I pulled into a spare parking space in front of the day care "yeah babe, remember we came here yesturday" I say as I smile at him in the review mirror. He giggled and started to wiggle around in his car seat, trying to get out. "Just wait baby" I say unbuckling my seatbelt and took the keys out of the ignition before I got out of the car and opened the back door where Atty was now whining in his car seat.

"It's okay bud, I'm here" I say as I undo the harness seatbelt that was keeping him constrained. "See you didn't have to wait for long" I say lifting him of the seat and I placed him on my hip before picking up his school bag and I shut the door, not bothering to lock the car. I walk over to the front of the daycare and unlocked the gate before walking into the day care. I walk up to the receptionist desk to see Morgan, the lady who had given us a tour yesturday. "You're here" Morgan said happily as I reached the counter "yes we are" I say with a smile on my face.

"Hi Atticus" Morgan said reaching over the counter to tickle Atty's tummy, he giggled and dug his head into the crook of my neck, I chuckle and kiss the top of his head. "Are you read to have some fun today?" Morgan questioned the giggly toddler who nodded as he moved his head so he could see Morgan. "Why don't you say goodbye to mummy then we can go meet the other children" Atty nodded and turned his head to me and gave me a big kiss "bah-bye mumma" he said as he reached out for Morgan who had walked around to us. "bye baby, have fun and be on your best behaviour" he nodded as I passed him over to Morgan. "Love you baby" I say "love you too" He giggled and gave me a wave, I smile and pass his backpack over to Morgan before saying goodbye again and I walked out of the day care.

I thought that would have been alot harder
