Niall's secret child

"Mumma!" I hear Atticus yell from upstairs obviously just woken up from his nap, I sigh and get off the couch before taking my time walking up the stairs and into Atticus' room to see him standing in his crib with an upset face on while he clutched his Nemo toy in his right hand "what's wrong baby?" I ask as I walk over to the crib "hold" he whined reaching out to me. I give him a little smile before lifting him out of the crib and placed him on my hip.

"Does Atty have a messy diaper?" I ask the boy who immediately shook his head even though I could feel that his diaper was full "don't lie to mummy babe" I say carrying him over to the changing table where I laid him down on his back and undid the tabs of his diaper before pulling the front down followed by the rest, I wrap the dirty diaper up and drop it into the bin by my feet and grab the wipes and proceed to clean the boy up before grabbing a new diaper.

Instead of putting the diaper on the boy, I lifted him up and carried him to the bathroom in my bedroom where I shut the door before placing him down on the ground "no mumma" Atticus whined as I walked over to the bath and put the plug in "why baby?" I ask as I turn the taps on "me no wanna" the two year old whine as he stomped his foot. "You have to have a bath baby, it'll be all over in a few minuets" I tell him as I turn the taps off because the water was at a certain height. "Pwomise?" Atty asked and I nodded so he slowly walked over and put his arms up.

I smile and lift him up before placing him in the water "duckies?" Atty asked putting his head to the side adorably, I smile and nod before grabbing the there yellow ducks from a little bin I have in here filled to the brim with bath toys and played them in the water for my boy to play with and I sat back against the wall and left him to play. After a while I had finished giving him a bath and lifted him out of the bathtub and wrapped the towel around him and proceeded to dry him.

"Does my baby have a rash?" I ask Atty as I see a red rash coming through on the inside of his thighs "yeah" the boy said as he put his fingers in his mouth and started to slobber all over them "let's go get that sorted" I say before lifting him off the ground, I grab his Nemo toy and the diaper I brought in before carrying Atticus to his bedroom where I laid him down on the changing table. "Stay there for mummy" I tell Atty "Nemo?" He asked, I nod and place the toy on his chest before grabbing the baby powder.

After sprinkling the powder on Atticus I grabbed the diaper and strapped it on him before I began getting him dressed "no mumma" Atticus whined as I went to out the shirt on him "don't you want the shirt on yet?" I ask and he nodded his head "okay but you have to have it on later" I say and he nodded before going back to sucking on his fingers. I smile and lift him off the table and made sure he had hold of his Nemo toy before carrying him downstairs and into the living room where I placed him down on the couch before walking into the kitchen.

"Mumma!" Atticus called from the living room "yeah baby?" I ask sticking my head out of the kitchen to see him "me thirsty" Atticus said "I'm getting you a drink now" I tell him before going back into the kitchen and grabbed a clean bottle and filled it up with some cold water and placed that on the counter before getting the box of fruit loops out of the cupboard and poured some into a plastic bowl before putting them back in the cupboard. I know it is way past breakfast time but it's something Atticus will eat and not it everywhere and also Niall and I had to go food shopping.

I pick the bowl up and the bottle before walking back into the living room and sat down on the couch next to my baby and placed the bowl in his lap and he instantly grabbed one and shoved it into his mouth "remember to chew baby" I remind the boy who sometimes shoves food into his mouth and swallows without chewing, the boy nodded and I could see him chewing so I stopped worrying and gave him the bottle and he had a drink before passing it back and ate some more fruit loops.

I smile and turn to the TV which was playing some movie I was watching but since I haven't been watching it for a while I have missed quite a lot of it so I grabbed to remote from the coffee table and changed the channel to the kids shows and flicked through them until I landed on a show Atticus usually likes to watch and place the remote back down on the table before turning to Atticus to see his face was turning red and he was starting to cough.

My heart raced as I made him sit up and I whacked his back until he stopped coughing and his face went back to it's normal colour "you alright baby?" I ask taking the bowl away from him and placed it on the table before lifting him onto my lap and gave him his bottle "yeah" Atty said before putting his head down on my chest and started drinking the water as I held him as I tried to get my heart from racing. Every time he does that it scares the living daylight out of me. "You need to stop doing that baby" I whisper as I kiss Atticus' temple.

"Daddy!" Atticus squealed as he looked past me to see Niall walking through the front door "hey buddy" Niall said as he walked over to us and picked the toddler up. "Are you ready to come with daddy?" Niall asked the boy who excitedly nodded "I'll go get his bag" I tell Niall as I get off the couch, he nodded and watched as I walked out of the living room and upstairs to Atty's bedroom where I grabbed the diaper bag which I had packed for his afternoon/night out with Niall and his bandmates.

I place the bag on the changing table and look through it to make sure it had spare clothes, diapers, wipes, powder, bottles and toys before zipping it back up and I grabbed the shirt and beanie I was meant to put on Atty earlier and carried it all downstairs to see Atty was talking to his dad. "Can you put this on him Niall?" I ask and he nodded before taking the shirt off of me and put it on Atticus before doing the buttons up and then I passed him the beanie which he slipped on the boys head and adjusted it so it looked good.

"Say goodbye to mummy" Niall said and Atty turned to me before reaching out, I smile and take him from Niall's arms and hug him tightly "be good for your daddy ok" I say and Atty nodded and let me smother his face in kisses before I passed him back over to Niall and we walked over to the door where I grabbed Atty's shoes and followed the boys out the door and over to Niall's car. Once Atty was strapped into the carseat I slipped his converses on his feet before giving him another kiss.

"Love you baby" I say giving him a smile "wuv you too mumma" Atticus giggled, I smile and put the diaper bag down under Atty's feet on the floor of the car before backing away "keep your eyes on him" I say to Niall who nodded "I'll keep him safe Charlie, I promise" Niall said, I nod and watch as he shut the back door before climbing into the front seat and waved before reversing out of the driveway and with one last wave from the both of them they were out of sight.
