Christen was rubbing JJ's back.

"Christen, if you want me to wake up, I wouldn't do that" Mumbled JJ. Christen just smiled, got up, and quickly changed for training.

"JJ, babe, we have to go to training" Christen said, slightly shoving her.

"Ughhhh, fine" JJ got up, and got dressed.

Back at training, they all lined up for sprints.

"Again!" Shouted Jill, after their twentieth sprint down and back the field.

"what?" Complained Pinoe.

"Two more for talking back" Jill yelled.

"shut it Pinoe" Meghan mumbled, and got an evil eye from Jill.

"whats gotten into Jill lately?" Alex asked.

They did the two more sprints, and then lined up again on the line, waiting for another sprint to be yelled out.

They got what they were waiting for.

"Another sprint! And if one of you doesn't sprint the whole way, you're doing three more!" She yelled.

That was enough for them. Everyone sprinted all the way to one end of the field, then began their sprint back.

Tobin was at the back.

"Heath! Pick up the pace!" Jill yelled. Tobin hated being called out.

Ignoring the soreness in her ankle, she managed to sprint for a longer time, until just before the line, she collapsed. A sharp pain broke out in her ankle, spreading up her leg. She could feel her heartbeat in her upper ankle.

She cried out in pain. Alex didn't finish the sprint. Instead, she ran strait over to Tobin, and clutched her hand. Alex could tell that Tobin was in more pain than it looked like she was in.

Alex was fighting back tears.

"Heath! Get up and finish the sprint!" Jill screamed.

That set Alex and the rest of the team that gathered around Tobin and Alex off.

"Are you crazy?" Abby yelled.

"She's frickin injured!" Screamed Moe.

"I hope you rot!" Alex screamed. Carli hurried over just as Alex was just about to march on over and probably murder Jill.

"Alex. Listen. You need to calm down. Tobin will be fine" Carli stared her in the eyes.

"But Carli she tried to make her finish the sprint! She's fucking crazy!" Alex yelled.

"She's still our coach Alex. You have to respect her, if you still want a spot on the team with Tobin" Carli said, directing Alex's attention off of the injured Tobin who was crying loudly, as the medical staff began to take off her shoe.

"Come on Carli! Can't you see it? Jill is crazy. Or she hates Tobin, and thats not fair!" Groaned Alex.

JJ and Christen came over to help.

"Alex, come on. Lets take a walk to help you cool off" JJ suggested, and Alex reluctantly followed JJ and Christen out of the stadium. Carli stayed back, she knew that Alex would be mad at her come tomorrow.

"JJ, its not right. Its crazy to make Tobin finish the sprint" Alex said, making a fist, clearly wanting to punch something.

"Yeah, but Tobin didn't, and I don't think that Jill was serious. She was probably mad about something that happened earlier. Or she's jealous of Tobin for some reason" JJ said, and Christen nodded for her to continue. "But the good thing is that Tobin probably isn't too seriously injured. I mean, she should be back soon"

Alex reluctantly nodded. "Hopefully"

"Alex, come here" Christen grabbed Alex's hand, pulling her to a bench in the nearby small park.

"Sit" Commanded Christen. Julie didn't like their contact, but she just ignored it.

Alex sat.

"Now close your eyes" Christen grinned. Alex rolled her eyes and closed them.

JJ raised an eyebrow at Christen.

"Alex. Imagine this. You're in the future, your future home. You see Tobin walk in, smiling. Its Christmas, and you two are married. You hand Tobin your present. Imagine a present. A special present. It brings back happy memories" Christen said, not sure where she was going. But it was working for Alex. Her breathing was steady, and her fists unclenched.

Christen went on for a little while, and soon Alex was softly smiling to herself.

JJ grinned at her girlfriend's cleverness.

After they had Alex calm, they returned to the hotel, it was a couple hours later. Inside her room, Alex saw Tobin seated on the bed, leg propped up. There was a black brace on her ankle, as well as ice lining the black brace.

"Tobin" Alex said, then went to embrace Tobin.

"Hey Lex" she said in a scratchy voice.

"How's your ankle? Is it serious?" Alex asked, staring Tobin in the eyes.

"I pulled a ligament or something, as well as bone bruising, probably from when I tried to kick the ball in, but kicked the post instead" Tobin laughed at the last part.

"Tobin" Groaned Alex.

"Its okay, really. I'm fine Alex" Tobin kissed her cheek. Alex sighed.

"I wish it didn't happen to you" Alex laid down next to Tobin, placing her head under Tobin's collar bone.

"I'm glad it happened to me and no one else. I would rather have it be me than you or anyone on the team" Tobin smiled, kissing Alex's forehead.

"I would gladly trade places with you" Alex whispered against Tobin's chest.

Tobin just shook her head. The pain was excruciating. She slightly ripped a ligament, but she didn't want to tell Alex. Alex would freak out and start crying, at least, thats what would happen in Tobin's mind if Alex found out.

Alex fell asleep, and Tobin slowly placed Alex's head on the pillow. Then, Tobin got up and hooked her phone up to her bluetooth speakers and softly played Hotline Bling by Drake.

"Ever since I left the city you" Tobin whispered, as she limped back to the bed, phone in hand. Yea, its a bluetooth speaker but her phone was left on it so she had to get up and grab it.

Alex opened one eye.

"You like this song?" Alex asked.

"Yeah. Why?" Tobin grinned.

"I thought this wasn't something you listened to" Alex said, opening the other eye. "Because of your religion"

"Hah, that doesn't mean I can't listen to the same music as you" Tobin grinned, laid down.

Alex smiled, and wrapped her hand around Tobin's waist, pulling her closer.

Tobin winced.

"Ooh, sorry" Alex grimaced, feeling bad for hurting her girlfriend.

"Its okay" Tobin said, as the shocking pain subsided.

They then fell asleep while listening to Feelings by Maroon 5.
