Alex's POV
Its been two days.
My life is hell.
Why cant it end?
Servando has made a routine. Beat me in the morning with a belt, rape me at noon, and whip me at night, then pretend nothing happened.
Now, I sit here on the bed crying.
"Tobin, where are you?" I ask no one in particular.
My back burns. I just got whipped. My clothes are bloody on the back, and I have a gash above my lip that wont heal. Every time I get belted, it opens back up.
I stop crying.
No one is coming.
I'm stuck here forever, with Servando as my master.
"Fuck my life" I groan.
Where is Tobin? She should've been here by now. If only my phone wasn't dead. I could've called her and the police. I could've escaped.
"Lexy!" Servando yells, coming downstairs.
I frown. He isn't supposed to be down here after he whips me. Not a part of his routine.
"Hi Lexy!" He grins.
"Hi Servando" I say.
"I've got something for you" He grins, and holds his hands out. A first aid kit.
I grab it in thanks.
"Well?" He asks.
"Thank you sir" I say.
"You are very welcome" He smiles.
Then he goes back up the stairs.
I open it up, and take out the antiseptic, and clean up the wound above my lip first, then bandage it up. Then I do my back, pouring the antiseptic over my shoulder, and hissing air out through my teeth in pain.
It burs so bad, tears sting my eyes.
I spot the scissors.
Tobin is never going to find me.
I'm as good as dead.
I pull the scissors out, and study them. Medium sized, used for cutting material.
I hope it does well with cutting trash like me.
I drag it across my arm, and cry out.
I put them away, and then clean up the cut, putting a bandage on it.
Theres no hope for me now.
I'm a goner.
I just lay on my stomach and try to sleep. But Tobin's smile is burned into my memory like a tattoo. Her perfect teeth, her laugh, her smile. The way her eyes crinkle when she smiles, like she smiles all the time, it makes me cry. I let a tear slip down. Tobin's eyes. Brown. I wished I had brown eyes, not blue ones. But I hear Tobin say how much she wants my eye color. She calls them diamonds. I call her's gorgeous.
*Flashback*
"Alex, come on" Tobin grins at me.
"I'm coming Tobin" I laugh.
She takes me outside.
"Look up" She commands.
I smile and look up.
The stars, so many stars.
"Whenever we're apart, look at the stars at night. I'm looking at the same ones, wherever we are, we're seeing the same picture. No matter how far I am or seem, just know its not that far. I'm always with you like the stars" Tobin grabbed my hand.
*End of Flashback*
I wince at the memory.
"If only I could see the stars Tobin. If only" I say, smiling a little.
Then, I pass out.
Tobin's POV
"Tobin, you have to get up" Kelley said, waking me up.
"Why" I asked.
"Because. Johan called last night" Kelley said.
That made me shoot out of my skin.
"He did? What did he say? Why didn't you wake me up?" I ask, aggravated. This was my wife, and she didn't wake me up.
"Believe me. I tried. It didn't work. You slept like the dead" Kelley grinned.
"That's a surprise" I grin, then my expression hardens. "What did he have to say?"
"They found her"
