Amy's POV
"What? You found her?" Tobin was the first to speak up.
"I might have. He has an address here, but frankly, there are four Servando's in the state, and they're all spread out. He also has a cousin here named Jake. I'll take him in for questioning" Allan said.
I think this guy is actually going to help us.
"Thats good. What can I do to help?" Tobin asked, on the edge of her chair.
"You can wait for us to contact you, and answer the questions I'm about to ask you" Allan said.
Tobin nodded.
This guy is questioning Tobin?
"When was the last time you saw or contacted Alex?" He asks.
"The last time I saw her was yesterday, but a couple hours ago I received a text from her. Would you like me to show you?" Tobin asked, and Allan nodded.
Tobin showed him.
"We can track the text message, if we can get it to the right people" Allan said, and Tobin motioned for him to continue. "Each text sent sends out a signal, and that can signal, like all signals, can be tracked to a precise location. With that text, we have a better chance of finding Alex"
"Who do we have to send the signal to?" Tobin asked.
"My colleague can track it" Allan said, then pressed something on his desk.
More questions for Tobin.
The door opened, and a gray haired man walked in, holding a clipboard, and casual clothes.
"This is Johan. He's the one who can track any signal" Allan said, and Johan nodded. "Do you mind if we hold onto your phone?"
"No problem. Anything to find Alex" Tobin fiddled her fingers, handing the phone over.
I grabbed her hand for support, and she smiled at me in thanks.
"I may be able to find de signal very soon. Maybe two or three dayz" Johan said.
"No. Can't wait that long" Tobin said, starting to rock in her chair.
"Tobin, its okay. Calm down" I whispered to her, squeezing her hand.
"Find it in one day and you get an extra two hundred dollars" Lauren said, producing two hundred for the man to see.
"Hmm. One day, I can do. Tonight I will have it" Johan said, and Lauren put the money away.
"You get the money once the signal is retrieved" Lauren said.
Johan shrugged, then walked out.
"He is a difficult man at times" Allan shrugged.
"No really" Tobin said sarcastically, and I nudged her to shut up. She has to be careful. This guy is really helping us.
"If you three want, you can go look around the city for any clues for her disappearance. But do not attempt to confront Servando if you come across him" Allan warned. "Men are very despicable creatures" Like he wasn't one of them.
"Okay" Tobin said.
"But I advise you to leave this for the professionals. I might be able to contact the FBI.." Allan said.
"Do you want money too?" Lauren asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No, no. I don't. I'll contact the FBI when I get the chance" Allan said. Lauren sighed, thankful she didn't have to give up more money, I think.
"Thank you for your help sir. I really thank you. You've restored my hope in finding Alex" Tobin shook his hand.
"My pleasure Mrs. Heath" He smiled partially.
Who could smile when Alex is missing? Not me, thats for sure.
Back at the apartment, Tobin stayed in my and Lauren's room with Kelley too, because she and Hope are in a fight.
"I'm really sorry about Alex" Kelley rubbed Tobin's shoulders.
"Its not over. We can still find her" Tobin said, hands together.
Kelley just hugged Tobin.
"I heard you and Hope broke up?" Tobin asked, trying to change the subject.
"Uh, yeah" Kelley said, a little awkward.
"How'd that happen? Why?" Tobin asked.
"I just told her I didn't want to date a violent person. I don't want to watch Hope go to jail. I hope she turns around, and comes back" Kelley sighed.
"Thats rough" Tobin said.
"Not as rough as your situation" Kelley said, and Tobin buried her head in Kelley's shoulders and cried.
Tobin crying?
Not something you ever see, and something you don't want to get used to.
How could a person so strong, cry?
