Tobin's POV
Alex disappeared in the crowd.
"Alex!" I scream out, checking faces.
Then I spot her.
She's hunched over someone, who is presumably dead.
I study the person's face.
Julie.
God no.
Not her.
She's too young.
I run over, and slide on my knees, stopping in front of Alex.
"Is she.." I ask, but Alex shakes her head.
"She's still alive. For now" Alex said, and I spot a small pool of blood forming around JJ.
"We've got to get her out of here" I say.
"What about the rest of the girls?" Alex asks.
"They're going to the...west side....midnight....attack...tonight.." JJ stammers, and I nod to Alex.
"Lets get her out of here" I say, and haul JJ on my shoulder. "Take out the cops. We've got to find Jerry"
Alex nods and raises her gun.
I run toward the exit, but someone shoulder checks me, and I fall, dropping JJ. JJ groans, and I mumble an apology before picking her up and continuing the run. Alex is behind me, and Jerry beside me.
"Duck" I hear Jerry yell, and I drop to the floor. He knocked someone out, then take's JJ off my shoulder. I thank him, and we make better progress toward the exit.
I turn to look at Alex, and the next thing I know is that I'm on the floor, holding my head.
My forehead feels warm and sticky.
Blood.
Alex grabs my arm and we sprint to the door.
I see Eli on the side, panting, reloading his gun. Ryan is on the other side, shooting someone.
"Lets go!" I scream at them, and they obey.
We meet up with Tom and Marc. Marc has a spray of blood on his face, and Tom has a backpack on him.
"We're leaving" Marc spits at us, and we nod.
"What about the others?" Alex protests.
"Its hell in there! There is no way you would find your friends!" Marc yells, veins showing in his neck. He looks scary.
Alex shrinks back, and we take off running.
I don't know how long we've been running, but I know its been a while, because my legs are numb and air burns my throat on the way in.
I spot the van.
We're saved!
"Jack! Start the van! Start the van!" Marc yells.
We're still running, and I hear the gunshots of our pursuers behind us.
The van starts, and we pile in.
Jerry hands me JJ's body.
I check her pulse.
Good.
She's still alive.
Eli looks at me, worried. I give him a half smile.
"Is she alive?" He asks.
