Emily had woken up to a heavy arm against her stomach, and she was slightly shocked to see the close proximity between Niall and her. This was really unexpected since Niall seemed so cold and frigid yesterday, making her clueless at deciding if she should start and be nice to him.
She quietly lifted his arm up from her, and he flinched only to turn the other way round. Emily couldn't help but stare at how his back muscles stretched before going in relax mode again. She was definitely lucky to get married with an attractive man - who just seemed to like her as much as she had no clue where to start with this sudden relationship.
Which led to none, not a zilch, and maybe not a single fvck.
Yes, she had been clueless on how to deal with a cold Niall sitting at the sofa last night, and she was too nervous to start small talk. So she decided to stay in bed, but ended up falling asleep as light as a feather. But looking up to how warm she woke up this morning, she ought to feel that he was ready and open minded enough to start a relationship.
Or maybe he didn't intend to since she noticed the number of pillows that were kicked of the bed, probably from relentless Niall sleeping in bed. He might've moved a lot and thought Emily was a pillow? Was she that fluffy? Or maybe she was too fat? Yikes.
Her thoughts were interrupted when the coffee maker beeped, making her cup of coffee ready to be served. She took sips while her eyes stayed put on the empty table until she heard footsteps trudging into the kitchen.
She looked up only to see a shirtless Niall in a pair of sweats, and she quickly looked away. He smirked at how quick she responded to his toned body, yet didn't say anything to tease her. They weren't quite talking, and he didn't want to start. That was how egoistical he was.
Emily worried, what would Niall want? She wasn't used to have him for breakfast, not to mention for the other times of the day. What days was he working, what days did he have off? What was his favourite foods, what was his allergies? She was damn clueless.
Niall cleared his throat before sitting across from Emily and she was suddenly jolted away from her thoughts. She licked her lips before stuttering away. "I'm sorry, I just woke up and I didn't know what you wanted so I just wanted to um, yeah." She was so nervous, she felt it in her throat.
"I know." Niall said, his eyes meeting hers, and their eyes met in a blue ocean so clear, she swore she could've peed her pants there and then.
She took a deep breath before looking away and suddenly remembering the pot of coffee that was made. He must've liked coffee or something, so she stood up from the table and noticed how Niall was watching her every move.
This part, she knew Niall and her had some memories from before. There was once where they tested out many types of coffee - black coffee, one sugar, two sugars, cream, or even milk. They were once kids who destroyed the kitchen and that had hit her in realization that she had some knowledge about Niall, and she hoped it hadn't undergo a sudden change or anything.
She passed the mug over to Niall, silently praying under her breath that he would approve of it. He raised an eyebrow at her, before taking a sip of the drink in front of him. The taste of it made his stomach flutter at how this made him so happy. He couldn't believe that this cup of coffee was so perfectly mixed, and thus resulting in him drinking it in so many large gulps -even though it was boiling hot.
Emily smiled at the small achievement of the day, and she stared at how pleased he look. But then he noticed his eyes narrowing at her, and she felt slightly freaked out, not knowing why Niall was suddenly frowning upon her. He slid the empty mug at her, and she puffed her cheeks.
