"When are you ever going to tell me about him?" Emily sighed as Gabriella, or more likely to be called Gabby asked her. They were co-workers at the bookstore and Emily found herself pleased with the companion of a female. There was rarely a time where she could have time to meet with females, other than Brittany who seemed to be forever at her house with Niall around.
Emily was known to be married, but Gabby had found herself pestering Emily about every single detail in her life and Emily was great at telling her such detailed things. Gabby liked how Emily was very timid. But if it was regarding her marriage, Emily kept everything quite locked up.
"Well," Emily took the chance as no one was entering the store, and looked up at Gabby only to find a wide smile on her face. "we got married three weeks ago, and it was for the sake of my mother, the one I told you about." She paused to look at Gabby before continuing.
"And we were childhood friends and stuff but he's all big and successful so I haven't talked to him until the marriage. It was all planned, and I just went along with it." Her voice echoed through the store, and Gabby listened carefully to every single word.
Emily licked her lips. "But then he brought home a girl who was supposedly his girlfriend, and they've been at the house ever since. I feel bad, because it's my fault their whole relationship was ruined."
Gabriella groaned at how naïve and innocent Emily was. "What is it with you and being guilty? Emily, this isn't your fault at all. Stop blaming yourself for Diana, stop bringing yourself down because Maura's taking care of her and you're not, stop being guilty about your husband." She rolled her eyes at how innocent Emily looked at swallowing her words, and she couldn't help but wonder.
"Wait, isn't your husband Maura's son?"
Emily nodded, and Gabriella groaned. "Well it is definitely complicated, but I know better than to let Niall hog your house with that girlfriend of his."
"I have to respect them G, even if it's quite disturbing sometimes." Emily muttered, her face slowly grimacing.
Gabriella shook her head, "Hell no Ems. Get your facts straight and tell them to fuck off. It's your house, your rules."
"I can't do that, it's not something I have any rights to barge in and shut them up about." Emily answered, slightly imagining how that would ever happen - well, it definitely won't. "Besides, he's this douche and I totally respect him and all but I can't ever handle someone who stares at me all the time. I'll just let him be happy with his girlfriend, it's not like I care. And I totally hate it when he looks at me with that smile on his face, and his eyes! His blue eyes, I hate em."
Emily found herself whining and whining about Niall to Gabriella, and soon enough she finally stopped once her whining was turning slightly rude and totally horrible. She looked at Gabriella only to find her smirking back at her.
"Emily, oh dearest Emily, I really think you're living Elizabeth Bennett's whole life. Hating someone with the first impression, but you'll end up loving him. Trust me. Well you're not that whole sassy attitude but you surely speak poetry sometimes-"
"Okay, firstly no. Never in a million years would I ever like Niall. He's a jerk and we used to be childhood friends but he's making it seem like we never knew each other and I hate it, god he's so stubborn too sometimes and-," Emily looked at Gabriella before groaning and chuckled slightly.
Gabriella smirked knowingly at Emily and she just continued to shake her head. "No G, I do not like him. Let's just stop there, and continue shelving these books." Gabriella laughed out loud at how red Emily's cheeks were and how she quickly sprinted away to the other shelves that were further apart from Gabriella's.
