Jesse's P.O.V
Rihanna smiles at me and takes my face in her hands. ‘You’re so sweet, Jay,’
‘Are you kidding, babe, you’re the coolest and hottest girl on the planet,’ I say, trying to sound manly and brave even though I am not as old as Rihanna.
She flips her light red hair behind her shoulders and one of the black lace straps of her singlet falls off her shoulder. The atmosphere is perfect. Scented candles flick seductively, two wine glasses placed on the glass coffee table. The well-lit fire crackles overhead and the smell of red wine and Chanel No.5 Perfume reeks around the room. I lean in closer to her, breathing in that Chanel No.5 until someone’s voice fills my ears, although, it’s not Rihanna’s melodic, sexy voice. It’s a guy’s voice.
‘Meg,’ The guys whispers.
I blink around, looking for the source of the voice. I can feel myself drifting away. It's that pinpoint in a dream where you feel your world swirl and twist, making you sick and suddenly:
‘Stop drawing on him, he’s waking up!’ I hear the same guy whisper loudly and the bed shakes and I my eyes slam open and I find myself in an elegant hotel suite.
‘Good morning, Princess.’ Josh says loudly, my sister Meg bursts out laughing from where she sits on the floor.
‘What day is it?’ I ask, sleepily, my eyes still fuzzy from being in such a state of mind. I roll over onto my stomach and pull the covers over my head. The warmth of the sheets contrasts with the coldness from my nose and cheeks.
‘Friday,’ I hear my sister, Meg, say. I open my eyes but it's not until i notice something strange on the white sheets of the scratchy, ironed hotel sheets when I realize that something isn't right. There is a big black blotch of ink, and another red one by its side.
‘What the hell?’ I mumble to myself
‘What’s wrong, Princess?’ Josh asks from above the sheets.
‘Stop calling me Princess!’ I argue, throwing the covers off me and whacking my best mate and my lead guitarist, Josh, in the face with it.
The nineteen year old sits there, staring at me until his pokerface wipes off and he bursts out laughing.
‘What?’ I say, thickly as I turn to Meg who starts laughing as well.
I jump out of the bed, whacking Josh in the head and I run into the hotel suite bathroom and stare at myself in the mirror.
I’m not only wearing just my white boxers, but swirls and scribbles of Sharpie marks run all over my body, down my face, down my arms.
I turn around so my back is facing the mirror and I look behind me and see the writing that I was somewhat, already expecting.
