Hey guys, thanks all for waiting for the week and a few days of which I haven't uploaded. I've been studying and essay crap which some of you would know as I've been complaining to you about how I have been so bored. Anyhow, this is a bit of a filler chapter but we get to know another character a bit better here.

Hope you all enjoy,

Dedicated to one of my wattpad biffles, Giggles xxx (although I don't think he'd be interested in reading a chick flick.)

Bethany’s P.O.V

Saturday mornings are always good...except if your forced by your Mom’s boyfriend to clean up the red Fall leaves from the path in the front garden. My brother Teddy and I have been child tortured and I swear to my Lord in Heaven, Fredrick is risking my friendship with him. Even though we never had a friendship.

Teddy grabs a handful of leaves and drops them in a black plastic trash can bag while I walk around the garden, dragging a plastic rake over the leaves and collecting them in the teeth of the rake.

‘How’s school?’ I ask Teddy.

‘I hate Fredrick. I hate it how he thinks that he owns the place now,’ he growls.

‘All right then...?’ I mumble. That doesn’t really answer my question.

‘What? Beth, you can’t tell me you don’t hate him too,’ Teddy says, dropping another handful of leaves into the bag.

‘Yeah, I do. He’s really...how to put it...’ I say, thinking of a word.

‘Controlling? Rude, up himself, thinks he’s the best, demanding? All of the above?’ Teddy volunteers.

‘Yeah, all of those.’ I say.

‘Can’t believe Mom started talking to me about marrying himan.’ My brother says casually.

I almost trip on the rake. ‘She what?!’ My brother starts laughing.

‘I’m kidding, Beth. Mom would never get married without asking if we were happy first.’

I glare at my brother. Even though he’s so many years younger than me, he’s a real pest to try and deal with.

‘Hey, kids.’ A drawling voice comes from behind and I see my mother’s boyfriend come into view. Teddy walks over and stands next to me, we both glare over at Fredrick and he gives a false smile.

‘Mom wants me to tell you that lunch is ready.’ He says, smiling at us and holding a spatula.

Teddy purses his lips at Fredrick and I put a protective arm around my brother.

‘OK...well, you guys have done a wonderful job, here. Have these,’ he says and pulls out two ball point pens with some brand logo on it.  He holds the pens out to Teddy and me. We exchange glances.

‘Er...no thanks,’ I say and Teddy sticks his nose up. He pushes past Fredrick and I follow him, eyeing Fredrick who smiles at us. The smell of burnt ham, cheese and tomato toasted sandwiches waft around the house.

‘Did you make these, Mom?’ Teddy asks my Mom who is already sitting at the table.

‘Oh, I let Fred make them.’

‘I’ve actually planned to go out with Pilar to the Pier to get ice-cream. I’ll pass.’ I lie and I look at my Mom as if to say “You actually put up with this creep?” she looks at me, sternly.
