‘Go! Go, go, go, go man!’ I yell at Josh and his character runs through the trees, his gun held up to his head. Josh smashes his finger on one of the console buttons, making his character on the television shoot desperate bullets at my character.

I drive my character away, grinning and quickly, before Josh could make another move, I spin around and shoot his character dead.

‘Ah, Jess, no!’ Josh curses and blood splatters the screen. ‘Fuck you, man,’ Josh says and pushes me by the arm off the couch arm I was sitting on. I fall on the floor and start laughing.

‘Jesse, you’re such an idiot,’ Josh says.

‘I know,’ Meg blurts out and takes the console from Josh. She squeezed in between Josh and I before restarting the game, playing Josh's character.

‘That’s not nice,’ I say, dragging my console off of the couch and onto the floor beside me. I pick it up and begin to play against my sister.

The three of us, Josh, Meg and me plus Paris and her posse are all sitting in our room playing my C.O.D.

Paris looks up at me and I helplessly avoid her gaze.

‘Obviously not,’ Meg says, starting the game and making her character run.

‘Dude, your sister is better than you are,’ Josh says and I shoot him a glare.

‘No she’s not, she’s a girl,’ I state flatly.

‘Don’t be sexist, Jesse,’ Meg says absently. She leans down and slaps my face before becoming, yet again, absorbed in her game.

‘I’m not! You call me Princess! Josh is sexist the sexist one,’ I snap at them.

‘Nah, man,’ Josh says. 'I'm a real ladies' man.' Josh says, winking at one of the girls.

We all sit watching the screen for a moment until Paris break the silence. ‘I wanna do a prank call,’ She says, pulling her cell out of her pocket. Meg pauses the game and looks over at Paris flatly. I pull my phone absently out of my pocket as well, checking my messages just to see if maybe Bethany had texted me back.

I was sadly disappointed. I only had sixty unread messages from unknown contacts which I knew weren’t from Bethany as I saved her number and it would have come up as from her if she sent me something.

‘Texting your new girlfriend?’ Josh says, glancing at my cell and raising his eyebrows.

‘Don’t have a girlfriend,’ I say avoiding Paris’s glance and disregarding her cough.

‘Anyway,’ I say, stretching the word out, ‘who wants to do prank calls?’

‘Yeah, sure,’ Josh says and takes the remote off my sister and pauses the game.

‘Who do we call?’ he asks.

‘This fan who won’t stop texting me.’ I reply, starting up my iPhone again and calling the texter, putting it on speaker.

‘This is gonna be funny,’ Paris mumbles and Meg shushes her and we continue listening to the ringing coming from my iPhone.

‘Hello?’ A girl picks up on the fourth ring.

‘Hi,’ I say a second afterwards.

‘Who is this?’ She asks.

‘You ordered a pizza?’ I say in a funny accent.

‘Um…no?’ She replies. Meg snickers and I grin.

‘Yeah, you did!’ I say loudly.

‘No, I didn’t,’ She says.

‘You’re lying!’ I exclaim. The girl laughs.

‘I think you might have the wrong number,’ She giggles.

‘No I don’t,’ I say. ‘You ordered a peperoni pizza and a meat-lovers pizza, I have your order right here!’

‘I didn’t order a pizza,’ She says.

I pause and hand the iPhone to Josh who throws it back to me.

‘Do you want pizza?’ I say.

‘No,’ She says.

‘So you do want pizza?’I say.

‘No thanks,’

‘So what do you want then? You want me to make you pasta? I make good pasta,’ I say loudly, making Josh start laughing.

‘Do you?’

‘Yeah, you wanna know my secret ingredient? I use cow droppings and lobster shells, it makes it real tasty and light,’ I say and Meg joins Josh’s laughter.

‘Yummy…um, is this a prank call?’ The girl asks.

‘Prank call, of course not,’ I say into the phone.

‘Dude, tell her its Jesse Phoenix,’ Josh whispers and I grin.

‘Would you believe me if I tell you I’m Jesse Phoenix?’ I say, putting on my normal voice.

‘Are you?’ The girl says hesitantly.

‘Yeah.’ I say and I drop the phone on the floor in the middle of our little “Prank calling circle” to cover my ears. I click the phone off and the we all fall on the floor, clutching our sides, laughing until we're practically throwing up.

Being a celebrity has its down sides, but this definitely isnt.
