Chapter 26 Remember This

NATHAN'S POV

I open my eyes. I sit up and look around.... I'm in a flower field. What the fuck am I doing here? That's when it hits me. Where's Cher? Is she alright? What if-... No Nate... Don't think that way. I get up and walk around. For the next few minutes I walk straight and there's just no change. All the flowers are the same, the winds is calm. It's like an endless field of flowers. I decide to just lay down and fall back asleep. I have no energy, Im surprised I'm still alive.

I can't sleep so I just relax and look at the cotton balls in the sky.

I jump up when I hear a little girl's laugh from the distance. I start running towards the laugh and it keeps on getting louder and louder.

I finally get to this little girl and she looks up at me and gives me a flower.

She looks alot like.... Cher. Her eyes, the hair, the smile.

'What are you doing here little girl?' I ask nicely.

'Daddy, don't be silly. We're supposed to meet mommy at the park.' The little girl tells me.

'Uhh. I think you have the wrong guy-' I start to say but then she grabs my hand and pulls me.

'What's your name?' I ask as we continue walking.

'Alyssa,' she says and then smiles.

'Well then Alyssa, my name is Nathan.'

'Oh I know that,' she tells me.

How in the world does she know my name?

I was thinking about it for a long time, that I didn't even realize that we were at a playground.

Alyssa lets go off my hand and goes off to play. I go sit on a nearby bench and watch Alyssa play. Is she really my daughter? Where's everyone? Where's Cher? Is this a dream?

I feel hands cover my face and I hear 'Guess who'

'Cher!' I yell and get up and grab her and twirl her.

I stop and start giving her a flurry of kisses.

'Nate.. not in front of our daughter!' she tells me.

'Wait... she's actually-'

'Of course Nathan. Why wouldn't she?' She tells me.

'Mommy!' I hear Alyssa yell and runs towards us.

Cher grabs her and I realize the resemblance. They're nearly identical. The weird thing is that she doesnt show anything from my side. Eh well maybe my sass but that's it.

'Mommy, Daddy, Im hungry!' She yells.

'Alright everyone. Let's go home. I made us lasagna!' Cher tells us.

We start to walk hand in hand. Alyssa is in the middle singing and swinging about.

A few minutes later, she asks me if I can carry her because she's very tired and I agreed. Anything for my daughter.

As we continued to walk down, I asked Cher.

'Where's everyone?'

'Let's not worry about that now. Nate please remember one thing. The three of us will always be connected.' she says and grabs Alyssa from my arms.

'Wha-what's going on?' I ask as I realize something peculiar. Cher and Alyssa were slowly... disappearing. Fading away.

'NO!' I yell as I try to run towards them but something is pulling me back. I turn around and I see a ray of light and I cant see. I decide to give up and I get pulled in.
