Chapter 25:

Nate’s POV

I laughed again. This asshole keeps getting up. I’ve been beating him for about half an hour and he’s still laughing. His face is swollen with blood dripping down it, and he’s struggling to breath, but he’s laughing.

“You done yet?” The Creeper said smirking.

“Nope.” I said before punching him in the face.

I heard another sickening crack from breaking his nose. He screamed this time, pretty loud. He fell to the floor and didn’t get back up this time. I walked closer to him and heard that he was still breathing, which despite my anger, was good. I got curious and wanted to know what his name was.  I slapped him in the face to get him to wake up.

“What is your name?” I asked.

“Hah. You think I’m going to tell you?” He said.

“No, I KNOW that you are going to tell me.” I growled punching him in the stomach.

“OKAY! If I tell you my name, I get to walk out of here alive.”  He said grinning with his bloody teeth.

“What is your damn name?!” I yelled.

“It’s Frank. Now let me go.” He growled.

I started laughing so hard right then. Who names there kid Frank!? I was laughing for a good 5 minutes until I realized the guy was gone. I looked down and saw that there was a note on the ground. I started to read it.

I’m not giving up.

What the f- I was interrupted by Carrie’s voice ringing out through the locker room. I looked around quickly, sighing when I saw that there wasn’t any blood drops or anything o the floor. I stuffed the note into my pocket and walked into the locker room. My beautiful girlfriend was still in her towel looking around with a really confused face. She saw me walk in and blushed before trying to cover up. I looked around the room and tried to see if I could spot her clothes.

I found them. They were all the way in the corner of the room on the floor. I walked over there and grabbed them for her. I turned around to see her crying silently. I walked over to her quietly and sat down next to her, setting the clothes next to me on the other side of the couch. I grabbed her hips and picked her up, putting her on my lap. I grabbed her shoulders and turned her towards me, so she was sitting facing me. Then, I took her hands away from her face and looked her into the eyes.

It almost tore my heart apart to see what was in her eyes; she was terrified, worried, and hurt. I ran my fingers around her bruise beneath her eye where Frank hit her. She leaned into my touch while she was crying. I took my thumb and wiped some of the tears trailing down her face. She leaned fully into me with her face in the crook of my neck.

“I really don’t deserve you.” She whispered.

I shook my head. Really? Is she really saying this again?

“Yes you do. Maybe even better than me.” I said chuckling.

She laughed.

“You are so arrogant.” She said laughing.

“Yes. But you love me.” I said.

I stopped breathing, realizing what I said.

“Yep, I do.” Carrie said looking into my eyes.

I couldn’t breath. Is she kidding? IS THIS HAPPENING!?

“I-I know it’s only been a week, well tomorrow will be. But, I love you.” She said with a nervous voice.

“Woah. Taking it a bit too fast there, Sweetheart.” I said joking.

She immediately thought that I didn’t love her, since I didn’t say it back. She started to say something but I cut her off.

“I love you too, Sweetheart. More than you will ever know.” I said looking straight into her beautiful brown eyes.

She blushed and smiled.

“What happened to the cocky jerk that didn’t care about anyone?” She asked, while smirking.

“Well, he fell in love.” I said before kissing her.

This is going to sound cheesy and it’s going to sound like I’m gay too. But, when I kiss her a million tingles go through me. We pulled back after a couple of minutes. I looked at my beautiful girlfriend and smiled.

“What happened to the girl that didn’t date a lot, and didn’t like me?” I asked smiling.

“She got to know you and fell in love.” Carrie answered.

“I love you so much.” I said before kissing her, again.

Carrie’s POV

I didn’t realize that I love Nate until he said, “But you love me.” It dawned on me that I did, as crazy as it sounds, I love him with all my heart. We have been through so much just this week and it’s brought us closer. He bit my lip bringing me out of my thoughts.

I love how he can make me forget everything that is going on.
