A refrain is basically some lines that you repeat for emphasis. This poem was kind of spontaneous and I just went with the flow. Enjoy!
Flipping through dog-eared pages
The worn composition of my life
Scribbles
Chicken scratch
Eraser marks
Mechanical pencils running out of lead
Markers losing their felt tips
The pens’ ink blotting
Color pencils unable to color
Crayons breaking in half
Cryptic writing
Looking like hieroglyphics
Cannot be deciphered
Coming to the climax
But will not finish with a resolution
A masterpiece incomplete
