Sandro's POV
I consider myself as an athletic person. I'm a gold medalist swimmer afterall.
But why does this ball hate me so much?! I'm not this bad even when playing basketball!
Sighs.
I want to help my teammates but I have no future in volleyball.
"Chance ball!" My teammate yelled.
The ball was successfully received by our libero at the back. Our team's setter did a feint but unfortunately, the ball was saved by the other team. Thus, giving them a chance to score.
"Tan!"
Huh?
I looked up. The ball is now coming at---
my face.
The impact made me a little dizzy. I blinked several times trying to fix my vision until I felt something warm dripping down my nose.
I tried to touch it with my fingers.
Shit, I'm bleeding.
Our professor asked me to rest for awhile after what happened. I sat on the empty bench. Thank God, they finally subbed me out.
"I'm so sorry, Alexandro!" My blockmate from the other team who accidentally hit me bowed his head.
I just gave him a smile.
I'm really fine though, it's all part of the sports but I don't want to play again.
"Tsk, tsk! It's the blonde girl again. She stood in front of me.
What is her name again? Rea? Rein?
She suddenly wiped a handkerchief on my nose.
"What are you doing?" I grabbed her wrist because I was shocked.
"Wiping your bloody nose. Duh?" She didn't even flinch. She just continued wiping my nose.
My eyebrows furrowed.
What the heck is she doing?
The blonde finally got tired after less than a minute. She decided to throw the handkerchief in my face. "Ikaw na nga magpunas!"
"I didn't even ask you to wipe my nose for me." She rolled her eyes and sat right next to me.
"Are you a volleyball player?" I asked her, trying to make a conversation.
She nodded. "I'm a scholar. I'm playing volleyball for full scholarship."
Southmoor is really picky when it comes to scholarship recipients. This blonde must be really good at volleyball for her to be part of the school's team. "I see."
"May nakalimutan ka yatang sabihin."
I raised an eyebrow. "Huh?"
I looked at the handkerchief that I was holding.
Tss, she's quiet annoying. "Thanks, I'll give this back to you tomorrow morning."
I was about to leave when she grabbed my arm.
"That's not enough." The crazy blonde crossed her legs.
"What?"
"Libre mo ako." She said determined.
"What?"
She is really annoying!
"Streetfood. Libre mo ako."
Street---WHAT?!
Rein's POV
"What is this place?"
I chuckled. "Ngayon ka lang nakapunta dito ano?"
"Yeah..."
"What do you want to eat?"
"I don't know, what are those?" Tinuro niya 'yung kikiam.
I looked at him confused. "Kikiam?"
"Yeah, I guess?"
"Gusto mo ba 'yan?"
Alexandro nodded. Parang bata.
Maanghang, kuya."
Wendy's POV
It's lunch time.
Sandro is not answering my calls, busy yata kaya si Genoa at Dylan na lang ang niyaya ko mag-lunch. May klase kasi sila sa building namin ngayon.
"Where should we eat?" I asked them habang pababa kami ng hagdan.
Genoa hummed.
I looked at her confused. "Huh? Anong meron sa likod?"
Hindi ba bakanteng lote lang 'yun?
"May karinderya raw doon, pero I haven't been there yet."
Biglang nagsalita si Dylan. "Me too."
I smiled at them. "Should we go there then?"
***
Genoa was right, may mga karinderya nga rito and food stalls. We didn't know dahil lagi lang naman kami sa cafeteria kumakain or fast food chains kumakain. Luckily, maulap ngayon kaya hindi masyadong mainit kahit we're outdoor.
I should bring Sandro here next time para maiba naman. For sure he hasn't been here yet.
"Saan 'yung sinasabi mong may masarap na sisig?" Tanong ko kay Genoa since we've been here for awhile now.
She looked around.
"They said it's ther---" She suddenly stopped walking.
"Gen?" Dylan called out her name.
"Your boyfriend, Wendy." May tinuro si Genoa mula sa malayo.
Nandito si Sandro?
"Huh?" I squinted my eyes at sinundan ng tingin ang daliri niya.
My heart skipped a beat when I realized....it's really him.
Anong ginagawa niya dito?
and most importantly...
My voice started cracking. "I-i'm going home..."
