Wendy's POV

Thank, God.

Absent 'yung prof namin sa Art Appreciation, I don't have to see Simon today after accidentally hearing his confession yesterday. He genuinely thought I didn't hear anything because I pretended to be asleep. So if that was the case, maybe I can just act like nothing really happened.

I don't want things to get awkward between us. Simon is a nice friend, I can't afford to lose someone like him.

Naglalakad ako sa hallway papunta sa library when I suddenly remembered 'yung sinabi sa akin ni Kiefer nang magkasalubong kami sa hagdan kanina.

'Wendy! Can you go sa org room after your class and help me with the paperworks? Please? I promise to treat you lunch next time.'

I scoffed.

Tsk, bakit ba laging MIA 'yung ibang officers ng org? Naaawa naman ako kay Kiefer dahil sa kanya lang naiiwan lahat ng org works kaya I have no choice but to help him.

"What a pain..."

On the bright side, the president also said he would treat me lunch in return so I think I'll be okay with that.

I turned my back and went to the opposite direction, naisipan kong dumiretso na lang sa org room instead. I should tell Sandro that something came up, he must be waiting for me in the library.

Nandito na ako sa harap ng org room. I knocked on the door thrice but no one answered. Is Kiefer too busy to even hear me?

I decided to just open the door since it's already unlocked. "Kiefer?"

Kiefer was surprised to see me, he even let out a sigh of relief. Nakaupo siya sa swivel chair sa harap ng desk niya as usual, kaming dalawa lang ang tao sa loob ng room.

"You came! Mababaliw na ako dito, ikaw na lang kaya gawin kong secretary? Tutal lagi namang wala si Jenny."

I know Kiefer was just joking pero first year pa lang ako, I can't be an officer yet and I don't have a plan of becoming one.

"Hello, where are the others?" I sat down on the empty chair beside him.

He wasn't kidding when he said there are tons of paperworks to do. Halos mapuno na ng papel ang desk niya.

Kiefer shrugged. "Who knows? I can't contact any of them either."

"Si Simon?" Hindi ko maiwasang magtanong.

"Oh! I didn't text him, wait---aren't you two blockmates?"

I nodded. "Hindi ko siya nakita ngayon."

"I mean...you're already here. Do you want him to help us too?"

Kiefer was about to call him pero agad ko siyang pinigilan. "No need! Baka busy din si Simon..."

I'm sorry, Kiefer but I am not ready to face him yet.

"Okay?" He gazed at me for a moment as if he was trying to read me so I ended up looking away. "Anyway, you should start reading these articles now, Wendy. Mahaba-haba rin 'to."

I cleared my throat. "R-right."

He glanced at his wrist watch. "I forgot, it's almost lunch time. I said I would buy you lunch, right? Lalabas lang ako saglit to buy us some food."

I chuckled. "Sure, dito lang ako."

Biglang tumayo si Kiefer. "What do you want to eat?"

"Anything would do." I replied.
