///Chapter 17\\\
Luna's POV
“Well Looney.” Tyler says, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me onto his lap.
It had been a week or so since I had first gone riding with Ariel and Fin. I had found myself at the stables numerous times since then, whenever I was bored or Tyler had something up that I couldn’t go to I would head down there. Sometimes to ride, others to just be around Ginger.
She was such a calm horse and she calmed me as well, for instance Tyler would keep asking me random questions about my past or if I had a secret and it had begun to annoy me so I had screamed at him that he could just ask me whatever was on his mind but when he didn’t say anything I just walked from the room and came to the stables.
Ginger was so human like and she could practically talk. She would nod her head if I asked her questions or show me things I’d be missing about an argument by her reactions to what I had said. She was such a smart horse and it was helping me to keep better control of my anger and see things from his side.
“It’s the day of the ball.” Tyler says, jolting me from my memories.
“And mom is perfectly healthy so she can attend.” I say smiling, leaning my head into his shoulder.
Tyler and I had become closer in the last week, other then my few outbursts but every time he had apologized, although you’d think he’d learn to stop asking the questions after the first time. We had learned a lot about each other but both our pasts remained locked to one another. Until he shared his with me I wouldn’t utter a word.
My mom had made an amazing recovery and was sent home a few days ago. The doctors were confused by the change in her state but they didn’t question it to much. I think they were too annoyed by my visits and how I would annoy other patients. I didn’t try to make a scene every time I went but we would just start talking and I had done some stupid things as a child. Tyler got a kick out of it but I couldn’t stay mad about it because I started laughing as well.
“Tyler!” Ariel’s voice screams from behind the door of the library where we’re currently sitting.
“What?” He calls back, his voice not as raised as hers. She walked into the room, obviously angry at something.
“I need you to talk to dad. He won’t let me go with Fin to the ball.” She says, crossing her arms over her chest.
“And why should I talk to him? You’re daddy’s precious little angel.” Tyler mocks lightly and Ariel sticks her tongue out him causing me to laugh.
“But you look so much more like mom and he could never say no to mom.” Ariel says and I raise an eyebrow at him. I had always thought he looked more like his dad.
“Who’s the one with the black hair?” He asks and Ariel rolls her eyes.
“You’ve got her eyes and dad could never say no to her when she gave him that look and you know it.” I laughed at the argument they were having, knowing Tyler would do it because he loved her, even though he didn’t like the idea of her and Fin but he wouldn’t admit that.
“Oh come on Tyler. Fin’s better then a lot of the guys your dad could choose.” I point out and he narrows his eyes at me playfully and I smile.
“Fine I’ll go but if he says no to me as well then that’s that.” He says, standing up from the couch we were sitting on. “This should only take a few minutes.” He tells me and leaves the room.
“You are a miracle worker.” Ariel says sitting down beside me.
“How?” I ask.
“You’ve got Tyler to crack his shell. He used to never smile before you came. Sure he’d do it if he had to but I think he’s smiled more in the last two weeks then he has since mom died.”
