Does it count as letting myself down
When I didn't put up a fight?
I knew I wasn't supposed to do it,
But at the time I didn't care what's right.
And it still doesn't feel so bad,
But I know it'll catch up to me.
One of these days I'll really think about what I did
And the regret will start chasing me.
So, I'll run and run to find some peace,
But I can't stop looking back,
Because while it all might scare me so much
It doesn't always feel so bad.
